Soooooooo, it's the first day of August. This means that my thesis is due in 2 1/2 months. Not good. Not good at all.
Ann (my supervisor) wants to see my draft on the 18th of this month. She'll be lucky if she manages to get two words out of me.
Strangely enough, I'm not stressing. Maybe my hormones are messing with me, but I'm not stressing. I've decided to go with my plan of attack. Instead of worrying about not having enough references, like I was doing before, I am now going to:
- Print all the articles
- Read all the articles
- Understand what it is the articles are saying
- Synthesise main points
- Start writing draft
- Present draft to Ann, who will proceed to tell me it's pretty bad, but then will hopefully take pity on me, and help me out and give me ideas, which then leads to -
- Refinement of ideas/concepts
- Searching for articles that deal with refined ideas/concepts, then print, read and understand articles
- Writing draft
- Rewriting
- Rewriting
- Rewriting
- Err...and so on, until the 15th of October
And ta-daa!! That's it for the thesis.
How does that sound?
