Je suis accompagnée de ma mère qui y a séjourné à plusieurs reprises, de nombreuses semaines. Ensemble, nous effectuons une promenade aux alentours du château : une de celles qui peuvent être effectuées par les patient·es lors des activités « marche » ou lors des visites de leurs proches. Ensemble, nous discutons de notre rapportà cette balade, nous échangeons nos souvenirs&nbsp; sur ces après-midi passés à se promener sur ces chemins. En résulte, une série de photographies et une édition. À quoi ressemble cet endroit ? Avez-vous déjà rêvé d’arbres ?» ai-je demandé à quelques habitant·es de Pâlis et de ces environs. Ensuite, je pars marcher aux endroits qui m’ont été indiqués : une route voûtée, un arbre remarquable, un champ de vieux pommiers au milieu de la forêt…Arpenter un paysage et une forêt n'est pas anodin. Derrière un arbre au sol, derrière la forme d'un arbre, beaucoup d'histoires peuvent se cacher. Elles peuvent dire beaucoup de choses sur une époque, sur des manières de faire, sur des formes de vie... Un glacier menacé par les changements climatiques, mais aussi par un projet controversé d’agrandissement du téléphérique qui permet d’y accéder. L’artiste a commence par parcourir le paysage au cours de longues randonnées, éprouvant ainsi le territoire de manière physique et émotionnelle tout en s’immergeant dans les spécificités du territoire et prenant le temps, à sa manière, d’interroger la forêt, les fleurs, les mousses, le lichen, l’eau, la glace... Avec une approche plasticienne, il s’appuie sur ses ressentis pour construire une interprétation subjective et poétique des paysages glaciaires, comme un acte de résistance face à leur disparition. Il s’inspire ainsi d’une phrase de la glaciologue Heidi Sevestre : « s’émerveiller aujourd’hui, c’est résister ». Il cherche à rendre hommage non seulement à ce que les glaciers ont été et sont, mais aussià leur devenir et à leur capacité à de réinvention. Ainsi, il nous invite à questionner nos relations avec le paysage. Cette fouille visuelle lui permet de tisser une relation d’intimité avec ce territoire. De nombreuses photographies de l’artiste évoquent les vestiges d’une époque passée. Un paysage qui vous accueille et vous fasse une sorte de promesse, qui ait quelque chose d’une ouverture, d’un soulèvement, d’une largesse, peut-être d’un redépart, d’une réponse même : un paysage “de chaleur juste et de lumière amicale”, un territoire mental d’espérance », comme le dit Gilles Clément du jardin » MACÉ Marielle, Respire, Éditions Verdier, 2023, Paris, France, p. 87 Prendre racine est une investigation autofictive autour du cheminement d’une personne qui part à la recherche d’un territoire d’espérance où explorer sa transidentité. Récit quasi initiatique queer ce corpus offre une déambulation poétique dans l’aventure d’un coming-in en pleine nature. Les paysages parcourus ici sont imaginaires, intimes et hallucinés. Ils offrent un espace dédié à la renaissance, à l’espérance et au soin. Quand la brume s’évapore, le corps est métamorphosé, n’étant plus soumis aux injonctions, il déploie son énergie. Il s’inspire des lieux arpentés qui apparaissent fiers, vivants et puissants. Dans un univers onirique, ce travail est une invitation à se frayer un chemin vers soi, en explorant et célébrant ce qui s’agite en nous et autour de nous. Pour créer son univers visuel, Angélin Girard, intervient sur ses photographies par le biais de différents procédés expérimentaux lors de temps passé dans son atelier. Au fil de mes rencontres, de mes recherches aux archives et de temps passés au bord de l’eau, je me suis progressivement attaché à une mémoire particulière : cellede la rivière gelée. Un phénomène aujourd’hui rare, dont la quasi-disparition témoigne des transformations climatiques en cours. J’interroge nos liens avec les territoires d’eau, les usages économiques liés à la rivière et les formes de sociabilité qu’elle a autrefois rendues possibles. Cette résidence a donné lieu à une production mêlant écriture, édition, photographies, objets, et gestes collectifs. Mon travail oscille entre récit, observation et fiction documentaire. Je convoque des paysages, des gestes oubliés, des corps au travail, mais aussi une attention sensible portée aux milieux naturels et aux rythmes de la rivière. Il a été tiré à 10 exemplaires sur les presses typographiques de l’ÉMAP et sur l’imprimante de la salle des professeurs.Le papier de couverture est fait main. Il a été conçu avec de l’eau de Saône et grâce au réemploi de papiers jetés à l’ÉMAP. Chaque édition contient un extrait du texte "Les météores" et aussi une tisane qui a été élaborée avec Bertrand Menut, herboriste basé dans l’Ain. Elle contient aussi à chaque fois un tirage signé et numéroté qui a été tiré par Impression Panoramique, à Strasbourg. Dans ce travail, je convoque les grands froids oubliés qui transformaient autrefois la Saône en une véritable mer de glace. Ce texte est une fiction poétique et historique. Lors de ma résidence à l’Émap, j’ai proposé une promenade en partie silencieuse, ponctuée de temps de lecture, d’écoute et d’observation.&nbsp;J’avais envie de faire de la lecture-promenade un moment de partage et de soin.Dans cet esprit, j’ai souhaité offrir une boisson chaude, à déguster pendant la lecture du texte. J’ai ainsi travaillé à la confection d’une tisane, composée de plantes et de fleurs pouvant pousser en bord de Saône.Le travail a commencé par un repérage sur les rives avec Elise Delpierre, illustratrice, graphiste et amoureuse des plantes. Ensemble, nous avons identifié les espèces pouvant être consommées en tisane. Je me suis ensuite adressé à Bertrand Menut, herboriste professionnel basé dans l’Ain, à quelques kilomètres de Mâcon, qui m’a conseillé et accompagné dans l’élaboration d’une tisane gustativement équilibrée. Les plantes et fleurs proviennent de son entreprise Herborystory’s.Pour accueillir la tisane, il fallait un contenant. Je me suis inspiré d’objets liés à l’art de la table, tels qu’on pourrait en retrouver dans le lit de la Saône. J’ai eu besoin de laisser ce travail reposer, de le mettre à distance avant de m’y replonger. Des années se sont écoulées depuis les premières photographies qui composent ce corpus. Ce projet s’est construit en même temps que moi. Mes images et mes mots ont dit, avant moi, ce que je n’arrivais pas encore à me dire. Aujourd’hui, je peux l’affirmer : Prendre racine est le territoire de mon coming-in dans la transidentité, et son exposition publique en a été le coming-out. Lorsque j’ai commencé ce travail, je ne comprenais pas moi-même ce que j’essayais d’exprimer. Je ressentais intensément sans trouver les mots qui me semblaient justes. Certaines images réalisées à cette époque sont pétries par la douleur, la dépression, et un désir urgent de dire — sans savoir comment. La manière dont je me suis alors mis en image porte, avec le recul, des représentations parfois stéréotypées. Non par choix conscient, mais parce que je ne savais pas encore comment dire autrement, comment me rendre lisible, comment me faire entendre. Avec le temps, j’ai compris que ces images racontent précisément cet endroit-là : un moment de survie, de tâtonnement, de traduction imparfaite de soi. Elles témoignent plus d’un passage que d’un aboutissement. Je me laisse aujourd’hui la possibilité de produire de nouveaux autoportraits, sans certitude encore. Ce qui a été dit par ce travail dit quelque chose, et je ne cherche ni à l’effacer ni à le corriger. Je ne crois pas en la pureté militante. Je crois aux œuvres traversées, situées, imparfaites. Dès les prémices du projet, j’ai été soutenu par des professionnel·les de l’image. Je ne sais pas exactement ce qu’iels percevaient alors : voyaient-iels ce qui se tramait sous les couches de doutes qui me traversaient ? Porter ce travail en gestation, dans un moment de grande fragilité émotionnelle et de construction personnelle, a été à la fois douloureux et profondément libérateur. J’ai longtemps tourné autour du pot, longtemps tourné autour de moi-même. Malgré moi, ce que je taisais s’infiltrait partout. Il était temps de m’autoriser à parler. Cette autorisation ne s’est pas faite sans pression. On me donnait un espace de parole et de visibilité, et j’avais la sensation de devoir m’affirmer — pour moi, mais aussi pour toutes les personnes qui ne peuvent pas parler, à qui on ne donne pas la parole, ou qui manquent cruellement de représentation. Ce sentiment de responsabilité m’a longtemps accompagné, parfois comme un moteur, parfois comme un poids. J’avais aussi l’impression de devoir me tenir droit et sûr pour être crédible aux yeux des institutions et des personnes qui soutenaient mon travail — sans qu’iels puissent mesurer ce qui se jouait en moi. À cette période, je n’allais pas bien. Et pas seulement à cause de ces questions identitaires. Nombreuses fragilités se sont entremêlées à ce moment de bascule. J’ai compris plus tard que la douleur que je traversais à ce moment-là n’était pas absolument pas liée au fait d’être trans’, mais beaucoup au fait de m’être tu trop longtemps. Aujourd’hui, je me sens heureux (autant que l’on puisse l’être dans un monde qui va mal)&nbsp; et je comprends enfin ce que j’avais lu tant de fois : être trans’ est une véritable fête. Ce n’est pas un fardeau, mais une excavation intime. Une traversée à l’intérieur de soi pour y trouver un lieu d’euphorie, un endroit habitable, façonné par soi et pour soi. L’arpentage et l’immersion constituent le point de départ de sa démarche créative, qui se concrétise par diverses formes de récits. Ses projets émergent d’expériences sensibles dans les lieux qu’il habite ou qu’il arpente. Il laisse une place importante à la lenteur, à l’errance et aux rencontres dans son processus de création. Il se consacre à créer des paysages subjectifs et intimes, parfois autofictionnels. Il explore la façon dont les paysages agissent sur les corps, déplacent les identités et ouvrent des espaces de transformation intime et collectif. Pour créer son univers visuel, il intervient sur ses photographies au moyen de différents procédés expérimentaux lors de temps passé dans son atelier. Il construit ainsi des récits intimes et engagés avec une approche personnelle aux influences picturales. Son travail a notamment été exposé lors du Mois de la Photo de Grenoble et de l’Événement Photographique #3 (biennale photographique de Nancy). De plus, il effectue régulièrement des résidences d’artiste. En 2024, il était en résidence&nbsp;à la Villa Glovettes, en 2025 à l’École Municipales d’Arts Plastiques de Mâcon.
