Sometimes, when I'm sad?

I shop for things online.

Because my life choices are healthy.

But!

I went and bought this dress from modcloth, because I've been staring at it periodically for about a year and a half.

And it is the CUTEST FUCKING THING EVER.

Like. Even unshowered and disheveled I am still decently adorable in this dress.

And it goes with, like. Every sweater/cardigan thing I own.

And. I don't know. It's dumb, but I've been feeling ridiculously scattered and disconnected and. Many things. Lately, and this solves NONE of them, but it's nice?

In any case, hi LJ. I had a whole plan to clean the fuck out of my room today. And I still have this plan. Only it got a tiny bit derailed in favour of reading really questionable fanfic and wading through immigration legislation.

Brown suede jacket from Wilson's Leather, size XL. I'm not sure where it sits on any sort of sizing chart, but my measurements are 39-35-41, and it's loose on me in every respect. I would guess it's a size 14, maybe?

Condition: Lightly Worn? I'm selling it because it's too big on me. It's all intact and in fine shape-- the only really noticeable bit is at the collar where it looks like this:

Black Military Jacket. Would not be out of place in The Black Parade. Size Large, although I can't button it over my chest. See: aforementioned measurements. It's from Forever 21, but I can't find the damn sizing chart. I would estimate it to fit a size 8-10.

Condition: Brand Spankin' New. I got it last year and haven't worn it. It closes on hooks, and I think you'd call it a "cropped" style. I have a similar military jacket that I got in the same order, in a slightly different style, and I love the crap out of it, so don't be put off by the "Forever 21" part?

Between the four hours of sleep I've been getting the last few nights, and the 324198410423 assignments I suddenly have this week, I've officially got the coherency of a rock.

So instead of doing anything useful, like any of the 324198410423 assignments, or responding to comments (I will! I promise!), I'm posting a picspam.

I'm sure you'll all be surprised to hear that it will contain Stephane Lambiel.

For those just tuning in, this is Stephane:

He is Swiss.

I'm not entirely sure how that picture represents him being Swiss, but I don't have the one where he's pointing to his "Suisse" shirt, so go with it.

He's also a figure skater.

He is a funky diva.

Stephane's been a funky diva figure skater for, like, ever, but I don't actually have pictures of his early skating days.

I, uh. Do have pictures of him where he is wee and adorable, but it's also kind of inherently creepy that I have them? So I'm going to pretend I have class, and not post them.

So, I have many thoughts on the episode. They include "Jack, you giant manslut", "Donna is made entirely of win/NOT COOL NOT COOL OMG DONNA NO", "Doctor your little WOOBIE FACE", and "I want to see the fic!!11!"

I also think that fandom and their wank can suck it, because Rose and her Doctor make me happy.

Now, Randa and I went outside to her balcony after watching the episode and we discussed it, and whined, and laughed, and uh.

Decided that in the alternate universe, where Rose has her Doctor, they must have the most amusing life EVER.

Because he's half human now. And has to live as one.

This means, of course, that he needs to get a job, and since Donna got his brains (AND THEN LOST IT ALL BECAUSE RTD IS A BASTARD), he probably got... her typing skills.

Human!Doctor, the Temp!

This led to us choking on cigarettes (Randa) and snorting our drinks up our noses (me) while we planned out the whole story.

He'd have to get a real name, since he can't go by 'The Doctor', and see, he can't go by "John Smith" because pfft, no one is named John Smith. And he'd be all "But I don't know any other names!" and Rose would be all "Well you have to choose something" and he'd somehow or other get fake papers with a real name on them without her knowing, and decide to call himself "Hugh" because, well. He's human. Doctor Hugh Mann.

It, uh. Got worse from there.

He has a shelf obsession, but has REAL TROUBLE building them because the screwdrivers on Earth aren't sonic. And he has to go buy himself clothes, and comes back with, like, twenty pinstripe suits and a leather coat, and Rose facepalms a lot and tells him that there's no where to put that many suits because, no, the wardrobe is not bigger on the inside. And he agrees to return it all, except the leather coat, which she tells him he can keep.

And he's totally perplexed by human male anatomy because, um, Timelords can control their erections? According to Randa? And his life is hard. So to speak.

And if he and Rose ever have kids, he'll insist on naming them Martha, Jack, and Donna, and be REALLY UPSET that Rose won't let him name one "K-9", because they already have a dog, and he called it Mickey.

And he gets the kids gas maks on Halloween and tells them to go show Rose, and they're all "Mummy! Mummy look! Mummy!" and Rose freaks THE FUCK OUT and makes the Doctor sleep on the couch.

And at one point he discovers e-bay, and Rose facepalms some more and makes him return everything.

Um.

I really wanna see the fic.

Um. Watching Farscape when you're not entirely sober is AWESOME.

We start, after the last episode which I... didn't watch and can't remember... with John:

Having some trouble adjusting to life on Moya.

Because apparently having a maggot shoved into your mouth by a large, tentacle haired alien is just not something John did back on Earth.

I don't know- it's something I do every Sunday, like clockwork.

Silly John.

Then we see pretty things.

Which, on this show, rarely leads to puppies and daisies and happy things.

But it's okay, because Zhaan has lovely cheekbones.

Seriously, I spent most of this episode pausing the file whenever she came onscreen because... just. Blue. And pretty. Not even blindingly hot. Just... wow, I wish my head was that perfectly shaped.

Or something.

Anyway, back to the point-

John is learning the ouija board that is Moya's interface.

It's... really hard being John Crichton.

He uses his suffering as an opportunity to strip though, so no complaints there.

It could also be the plot making him do that.

But if you go my logic, it means he would be naked for about 85% of the show.

This is winning logic.

And then, before John can finish undressing, he finds there are Rodents Of Unusual Size in his room.

How much do I love that he jumps on the furniture as a first course of action. Like, fuck being manly and brave- there are HUGE FUCKING BUGS.

He kills one, more or less successfully.

(That's not a good position for prison.)

Meanwhile, we've got Aeryn getting hotter and hotter.

I'm loving that I get to say that and not sound pervy.

John is Concerned about her.

Which pulls all my heartstrings, in all sorts of warm and fuzzy ways.

D'Argo is...

Indefatigable, in his efforts.

Also holding a giant, phallic laser thing at his crotch.

Just in case that subtlety was lost on anyone.

Aeryn gets hotter.

And John gets beaten up by Bug!Zhaan and Bug!Aeryn, and is really just deeply perplexed as to WTF is going on.

But hey- two Aeryns:

Yay? Congratulation, I guess?

ANYWAY.

They figure out that the ROUS's can look JUST LIKE THEM, and decide that they need to have a distinguishing feature, to tell each other apart from the Bug Copies.

D'Argo is then responsible for one of my favorite moments of this episode when he states very firmly that, right- they should all cut off the tip of their pinky.

...

I mean. CLEARLY.

Not, you know. John's idea of spraying some orange paint on their hands.

Possibly also donning a funny hat, would have been acceptable.

Aeryn gets hotter.

And uh. This is just a cap I took by accident.

I know she's suffering and all, but HI.

Speaking of inappropriate things, John and D'Argo demonstrate for us once again:

That they really like pressing up against walls.

I don't know, D'Argo. Some fetishes should be kept to yourself.

Aeryn continues to get hotter:

And I have deep love for this tiny little scene.

"Perhaps the others could think of a way to help you," Pilot says.

"Why would the others care?" Aeryn scoffs, "My kind imprisoned them, I'm sure they haven't forgotten."

And Pilot just... nods. Because it's true. And while he is trying to make it less hot for Aeryn, he probably wouldn't blame anyone for not caring.

Oh, show. You make me so happy, with all your perfect little details.

John, meanwhile, encounters... himself.

Look! Two John Crichtons!

It's like, FORESHADOWING or something, man.

They fight, and you'd think I would have capped that, but it kind of happened really fast and I sort of got distracted by the two of them sweating all over each other.

Uh, here!

Have some Zhaan.

I just... she's really pretty.

On which note:

HI AERYN'S LEGS.

She's... not doing so well.

And John continues to be Concerned.

To which Aeryn has a totally positive reaction:

Heh.

Of course, it ONLY NOW occurs to any of them to put Aeryn IN THE SHOWER, where she has at least a chance of cooling off.

Good going there, guys.

Right, so they figure everything out with the bugs, and John stands up for himself, and everyone is well and good and happy.

Except the DRD's, who get stuck with clean up duty.

But such is their lot in life.

John goes to find Aeryn.

And they have an adorable little conversation wherein she admits that maybe he's not completely useless after all.

He proceeds to be a GIANT WOOBIE.

And this is an awful cap, but Aeryn smiles at him, and it's lovely and wonderful and YAY.

I'm having a bit of a... well. Fixation, really. Farscape is maybe a little bit eating my life right now, in THE BEST WAY.

I'm re-realizing how FREAKING BRILLIANT the show is, and how HOT John and Aeryn are, and how utterly in love I am with the whole thing.

So uh. Being me, I made screencaps.

So, ladida, John goes to space, trips and falls into a wormhole, and lands in the magical land of Oz.

Where he sees that, hey! Aliens don't look anything like humans!

This is a wee bit disconcerting to poor John, but makes me unspeakably happy, because love Star Trek though I do, adding forehead ridges or a nose bump does not a convincing alien make.

See?

Disconcerted!John.

And, I mean, he TRIES to make nice. But the timing's all wrong, and, well.

It doesn't go over... at all.

But everyone gets distracted by the multiple Peacekeeper vessels trying to kill them, and John gets tossed aside.

It's hard being John.

And then D'Argo tongues him. Er. Is that what it's called? Does fandom have some awesome name for that one? Because I have to stop myself from typing 'tongue fucks' and that just leads to all sorts of other places.

ANYWAY.

John gets knocked out.

And stripped, because clearly the aliens ~~have great taste in men~~ ~~WANT TO PROBE YOU~~ aren't willing to take any chances.

I'll bet later in the series? John spends a lot of time thinking "Damn, I wish ALL aliens stripped me naked when I was knocked out, instead of TORTURING ME FOR DAYS ON END AND TRYING TO KILL ME ALL. THE FRELLING. TIME."

Or, you know. Not.

Oh but then!

John realizes he's in the same cell as- GASP!

A prostitute robot from the future!

Possibly that wasn't his first thought.

But yeah, he's kinda worried there.

Until the robot takes off it's helmet.

And he looks...

Interested.

Which I love. I mean, I assume the expression is supposed to be more relieved than anything, but it always struck me as "Oh, god, what is that thing, oh my god, is it going to- ... HELLO."

The other thing I love about this show?

Is that he ends up between her legs REAL FAST.

I wish so much I could make an 'in her pants' joke here, but no.

OHAITHAR, AERYN. OHAI.

Also, Claudia Black is hot like burning. Expect for this to be a recurring theme.

Granted, she's probably still not in great awe, but, that's probably because she had her fork taken away.

Anyway, more stuff happens, Crais is emo and awkward, and then we get:

John. Standing on another planet for the first time.

Woobie.

He's just... he's on another planet. It's HUGE for him, and yeah, there are aliens, and people trying to kill each other, and a whole load of things he doesn't understand, but he's on another planet.

Aaaaaaaand then he gets manhandled.

He'll get used to this.

Claudia Black continues to be hot.

One of my favorite things is that in the pilot- the episode where most shows just establish a few main points about the characters and plots- we get this moment:

Where John tells Aeryn, after knowing her for all of a heartbeat and a half, that she can be more. Not only does he stand up for her, but he flat out states that he believes in her, and SHE GOES.

They are EPIC, ok? And maybe it's just me who is kind of stupidly in love with the 'you can be more' bit, but GOD. John and Aeryn. I JUST.

Claudia Black is, um, still hot.

Also, when Maya was first showing me this, I was DEEPLY amused every time Crais came on screen...

Because, even though I love some of his story arcs, he can be REALLY emo. And, um. The name Lani Tupu is just NEVER not funny. I... I can't help it. Every time it came on screen during the credits, I snorted.

I may have a problem.

But, oh!

This!

She CLEARLY thinks John is crazy, but she trusts him!

The recurring themes in this show- they start early.

And hey, it works!

Moya lives to fight another ~~four seasons~~ day!

Zhaan is pleased:

Aeryn is... oddly surprised.

D'Argo is pleased also, but expresses it in his own, BigStrongWarriorMan way.

With a knife.

Clearly.

Although, of the things John and D'Argo have done up against a wall, I think this is one of the less awkward ones.

Just sayin'.

Speaking of Claudia Black being hot...

And herein we have one of the prettiest fucking shows to ever rock my world.
