Andreas Waldetoft is an award-winning composer and producer with over 20 years of experience shaping the soundscapes of modern gaming. Following a decade-long tenure as Head Composer at Paradox Interactive—the creative force behind the music of Stellaris, Hearts of Iron, Crusader kings and Europa Universalis and more. He now runs an independent music production studio specializing in bespoke scores.

His approach focuses on strong thematic writing, blending live instrumentation with modern production to create memorable, distinct melodies. Andreas bridges the gap between composition and technical implementation, utilizing Wwise and FMOD to build dynamic, adaptive music systems that respond organically to gameplay.

His technical proficiency extends far beyond traditional composition. As an experienced multi-instrumentalist, he frequently records live instruments to bring a vital, human element to his scores. He is also highly skilled with industry-standard audio middleware, including Wwise and FMOD, allowing him to design complex, dynamic, and adaptive music systems that respond organically to player actions.

All production takes place in his custom-built, acoustically treated studio. Optimized for Dolby Atmos spatial audio, the facility pairs a Steinberg Nuendo ecosystem with a precision Genelec monitoring setup to deliver multi-channel mixes that meet the highest technical standards of modern game audio.
