    I have been using my gm 1000 for 3-4 years and I wanted to get a P.I and I did lots of research and narrowed it down to the sdc, My friend has one and hes got a gpx 6000 and the sdc 2300 smokes the 6000 on the small gold in hot ground all day long, plus the 6000 gets way more ground noise and hot rocks. I get 3-4 grain pieces missed by the gold monster down around 5 inches deep in hot ground that my monster could not hear even on manual 10 setting. This detector is bad ass Goes great to clean out all your spots, a 2300 with a gm1000 good combo, highly advise this machine, awsome.
