Put the base on a flat (nonmetallic surface), connect the power adapter.

Both hands hold the moon, slowly move to the middle of the base. The distance between moon and the base approximately 15mm-20mm, keeping it level.

Step 3:

When you feel the magnetic force supporting the weight of the moon, gently let go keeping it centered and level. If it falls, simply lift the moon and try it again. (If you don’t succeed, please do not give up, try it again.)

      I bought 2. One as a gift and one for myself. Extremely difficult to get it to levitate. Read the instructions and watched a video but still can't get it working. Also the base get very hot. That concerns me the most. I'm afraid it will catch fire if that's possible. The gifted one is the same way. So dissapointing. I wish I could return them but way over my return days. In my opinion it's not worth it.

      I love this thing. It’s awesome and a constant conversation piece. I wish my other one hadn’t gotten broken because people can’t seem to stop touching it. They literally cannot grasp the fact it hovers. So I keep mine up on a high shelf to try to avoid this.

      It’s beautiful and fun and interesting. Keep it away from people who try to knock it off its axis though. I love having more colors on this one and the fact it can be dimmed.

      I would give this 5 stars but I’m deducting a star because of how difficult it is to get it balanced and levitating. There’s a lot of sudden movement while you’re trying (the globe snaps down to the base because of the magnetic pull). But once you get it in the right spot and it is levitating and spinning it is really cool. I just wish there was an easier way to get it started.

      I loved it until it stopped working 2 months later. It won't stay hovering. I can get it to hover for a little time but when I come back it has fallen down. I did a chat about the problem and was basically told to bad the 30 day replacement period is over. For something I paid over $100 for I would expect for it to last longer then 2 months, very disappointed and a waste of my money.

      Follow up:. They replaced the globe. I love it and so does everyone else. Thank you so much. Definitely 5 stars.

      Product functions as advertised, but it's not nearly the quality shown in pictures. The globe is thick plastic an not nearly luminous or "shiny" looking as the pictures. It's not really that impressive when lit up. Colors are just a rotation of 5 solid colors that cycle. It really isn't as colorful as pictured. Additionally, it barely floats off the base unit. It will suspend maybe 3/8 of an inch. I can almost, but not quite slide my pinky finger under the globe. This is consistent with some of the pictures, but others make it seem to be suspended much higher off the base.

      On the plus side. The base is plastic made to look like wood. It actually looks pretty decent. There isn't much worry about the globe falling and being damaged. The Plastic is thick, and the magnet will catch and hold the globe tightly if it falls. You don't need to worry about a power outage.
