    This is a wonderful recording of Handel'S Messiah. There are 2cds which gives the complete work plus at the end of CD 2 8 varient numbers. Then there is a dvd which gives the whole work in concert at Coventry Cathedral.
    Both cds come to 168 minutes with each CD around 83 minutes. The soloists are brilliant as well as the chorus and orchestra under the Great John Nelson who unfortunately died this year.
    I cannot recommend this cd/dvd enough.

    This is definitely the best performance of Messiah on disc. All the soloists are excellent and their chosen ornamentations are beautiful. The real test of such a performance is do you go back for repeated listening and this recording scores 5* on this criteria.
