'Brexit gave us lots of exciting new words, like brextremist, remoaner, bremoaner, remaybe, breprehensible, remaintenance, brexorcist, remaidstone, brex-girlfriend, remange, brextortion, remayhem and bregret.
The new words make it harder for foreigners to understand what we are saying.
In a tough, new international business world, small advantages such as this can be crucial.'

About the Author
Jason Hazeley & Joel Morris are the award-winning authors of the bestselling Ladybird Books For Grown-Ups series.
They write for Charlie Brooker's BAFTA award-winning Wipe shows, and co-wrote Cunk on Shakespeare, Cunk on Christmas and Cunk on Britain. They have also written for the award-winning Murder in Successville, the award-winning Miranda, the award-winning Mitchell & Webb, the award-winning Armstrong & Miller and a long list of shows and people both award-winning and so-far-award-avoiding.
They created and wrote the critically lauded but as yet un-awarded Ångström for BBC Radio 4, and helped write both the award-winning Paddington movies. They are co-creators of spoof local newspaper The Framley Examiner (awards pending) and the bestselling but still-waiting-to-be-award-winning offbeat travel guides Bollocks to Alton Towers and Far from the Sodding Crowd.
They present the podcast Rule of Three (Guardian Guide Best 50 Podcasts 2018 - is that an award?) and divide their time between their office, where they keep their awards, and an award-winning pub.
This is their fortieth book.

Joel Morris is one of Britain’s busiest and most respected comedy writers, working on everything from Charlie Brooker’s Wipe shows, the Philomena Cunk series and A Touch Of Cloth to Murder In Successville, Miranda, and the hit Paddington films.
Joel co-created the 5-million-plus selling Ladybird Books For Grown-Ups series which at one point occupied eight of the top ten hardback bestseller slots. He also co-created the cult humour hit The Framley Examiner (“The funniest book ever” according to Simpsons showrunner Josh Weinstein) and co-wrote the bestselling British travel guides Bollocks To Alton Towers (“One of the best guide books ever written” The Guardian).
His book Be Funny Or Die, about the craft and science of comedy, exploring what makes humans make other humans laugh, was described by Caitlin Moran as ‘The ultimate Ted Talk on comedy.’
Joel has won BAFTA, RTS, Sony and Broadcast Awards for his TV and radio writing, and put words in the mouths of everyone from Mitchell & Webb and Flight of The Conchords to Armstrong & Miller, Kevin Eldon and Peter Serafinowicz.
Joel is behind the award winning Rule of Three podcast about the craft of comedy writing (winner, best arts and culture podcast British Podcast Awards 2020) and Comfort Blanket, the hit podcast where guests choose the pop culture favourite that never lets them down. He also produces Brian & Roger, the podcast sitcom described by The Telegraph as the ‘best thing happening in comedy right now’.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 September 2024Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseTongue in cheek book but so glad that it covers the topic in a balanced way.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 August 2024Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseHarks me back to the Janet and John days for those who are old enough to remember. Very funny and surprisingly poignant!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 April 2020Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseI brought this book as a present for my father and although the book is short in nature he thoroughly enjoyed it and read it back to back, almost consistently laughing throughout. It is well worth a few pounds.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 March 2021Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseThis well-researched non-fiction book provides a stark warning to EU member states everywhere about the dangers associated with the leaving of the European Union. And this was written well before the UK actually left and nobody could deny the trainwreck that it is any longer (at least not with a straight face and not without being laughed out of any room populated with intelligent people).
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 December 2023Format: HardcoverVerified PurchasePurchased as a gift. These books are so funny and cleverly written
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 October 2021Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseI have one or two of these "Adult" Ladybird books, and I have to admit that the resemblance to the originals from the 60s and 70s is remarkable. Writing adult material in a child's style is also amusing for the first one or two times. . . unfortunately after a few books the joke runs thin. A great present for someone who has not seen these books before.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 December 2020Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseAn amusing present for a leave voter! As with others in this series - concise and pithy in a retro way.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 May 2022Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseVery well done with some excellent humour and some very good analogies of real life and the utter incomprehensibility of the decision to leave the worlds most successful Union of nations.

Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseWhat should I say, as an English man living in France, you can imagine my opinion on the subject, but that's neither here nor there, but what I can say is: Everything is in the title, I've got a few of these books and I think that the humour is wonderful.

KGBeastReviewed in Germany on 26 January 20195.0 out of 5 stars Satire, durch und durch.
