Bored
Casey missed seeing Luke since he and the new Doc where an item. Did he really not realise his friend was falling for someone so deeply untill Allison pointed it out. Today he finally got to hear his friend out. Even if it was just during a quick lunch at All's.
Luke was already waiting for him at a table.
"Hi Casey, I know you only have a short break so I already ordered for us. A big All menu still your favourite".
"Thanks dude, great choice".
They spent the next twenty minutes eating and chatting about the last busy weeks.
"So what did you do with the old doc the last two weeks. I haven't seen you around town together ".
"We just hang out together. Sometimes at his place, sometimes at my mom her place and since grandmother came back I have been staying in her condo. Mostly we just talk and play chess."
"Talking and playing chess, exiting. You must be bored ?" Casey tried to tease his friend.
"No way, I am never bored around Reid". Luke smiled.
The reddening of Luke his ears gave Casey enough information to stop asking for anymore details.
Moving day.
Reid was walking into his office at memorial for the last day. He looked around the office as it has been for the months that he called it his own. He usually did not care much about objects and places that he used to work or live in. But a lot has happened in this room.
He kissed Luke Snyder here a lot. He would have liked to kiss him here even more. He made an important discovery that could help cut down the time a surgeon would need to remove tumors in the brain and possible other locations. This would minimise a lot of the risks that are always possible when a person is on the operating table. His findings where published in three medical magazines around the world over the last two months.
He had a lot of lunches here. Not just alone either. Katie came by a lot when Chris was still in the hospital and she wanted to take her mind of all things Chris. Reid thoroughly enjoyed not talking about Chris. Bob had probably realized that he could have a more positive reaction from Reid on any sort of request when he was properly fed. So they now had a lot of meetings here around lunch time with a picnic basket made by Mrs Hughes. She definitely was liking him better after he got her son the hearth.
He would be missing them.
But there is no reason to remain in the past, it was time to move on.
Reid was packing the last box when he heard a knock on the door. He was just standing up to ask who ever it was to come in, when his boyfriend came in. Well at least Luke had learned to knock.
"Hi Reid. " Luke said. , Your new furniture is set up. If you are ready we can start moving your stuff".
"Yeah I am done here, just one more thing".
Luke was just looking away at some of the boxes when Reid shoved him against the wall and thoroughly kissed him.
"I just wanted to kiss you here one last time." Reid whispered in Luke his ears.
"Your new office has a lock on the door" Luke whispered back while stroking Reid his upper leg.
"Nice so let's make haste off this moving day".
Reid quickly started putting his boxes on the cart Luke brought. His past office hold dear memories, but he was definitely going to make even better ones.
