Setting Variables<\/h3>\n

Once a variable is declared, it can be set. Variables are set using a syntax that comprises of four elements:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. the set<\/code> keyword<\/li>\n
  2. the variable name<\/li>\n
  3. a single equals symbol (=<\/code>)<\/li>\n
  4. a personalization string<\/a>, constant<\/a> or AMPscript function<\/a> (which can contain nested functions).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Refer to the example below, where variables are set as a personalization string (@firstName<\/code>), AMPscript function (@localDate<\/code>) and constant (@promotionEndDate<\/code>):<\/p>\n
