This is the second time I've had to change my LJ layout back from "Generator", re-add the CSS and also change all of my fucking sidebar options and whatnot.

I DID NOT MAKE THIS FUCKING CHANGE.

I don't know what the fuck is going on here, but I am changing my password. If this happens again, I really need to fucking look into where I can report this. Third time's the charm and all that. Because seriously. The hell is this?

Sitting through a lecture about sleep disorders and how lack of sleep is bad and you should feel bad is REALLY awkward when you're running on 3 hours of sleep XD I guess I should be grateful I didn't doze off?

Hey.

So uhhhh yeah, I really didn't mean to not update for two months. Oops?

I've still been around though, mainly poking around in fandom and posting things in amm_fanworks (I'm still backlogged, lmao). I just never felt like updating personal LJ until today for some reason, lol. Changed my layout from the Durarara!! one too, since I was getting bored of it and it looked wonky on other computers (all-bold text, what?)

But yeah I'll try to be better about updating If school doesn't eat me alive. (Test after test after paper, fffff.)

I ordered my cap and gown last week. asd;fg;fds I'm so fucked. I have no idea what I'm gonna do once I graduate, lmao. And I keep being too nervous to make an appointment with a counselor or whatever. Blah. Hopefully I'll figure it out, because it's really scaring me.

Ohhhhh well.

Anyway, I have no class Thursdays and my professor for my only Friday class cancelled, so I have this lovely 5 day weekend ahead of me. Hopefully I'll get some more gaming in (ugh, I started ANOTHER one I suck so much XD) and just generally have fun before I'm a slave to college once more.

Stiiiillll working on P3P, P4, Wild Arms 2, and now Radiant Historia, too. And 999, whenever kaitodoushi, candy__chan and I have the time. (Head, meet desk. XD)

Also, Tangled and BBC's Sherlock are both fucking rad. ♥ Watched them at my friend's birthday thing last weekend and am totally in love.

Textbooks, FUCK YEAH!!

Finally got the last two I needed today. Now I can study for my Abnormal Psych exam next week, FML. Two weeks worth of reading baby! 8D ~~Kill me now.~~

Also, I lost my iPod somehow. Yeah, I don't know why or how either, because I remember putting it in my backpack and the headphones I had attached to the iPod are still freakin' here. But it's gone now. It's pretty sad times, beause, in case you guys didn't know, I sleep with that thing on, since I can't really sleep in silence. I need music.

So yesterday, I decided to use my radio instead.

And apparently, when I turn on my radio, it likes to turn up the volume.

By its fucking SELF. I literally didn't touch the damn knob, I just hit the Power button to turn it on and changed the station to the one I wanted.

And it just kept getting LOUDER. >_>

After I fought with it for a minute or so (people were sleeping, so I couldn't have it too loud; I kept turning it down), it just kinda stayed down at normal volumes, but I still wonder why or how the hell it did that.

.....creepy radios, FUCK YEAH!!

And lastly, I just got my Asian Philosophy exam back last class. 83%, which will go up with the corrections we made today; he gives back half credit and allows us to use our notes and textbooks. I was pretty happy with the grade, since I mostly knew I fucked up the questions he marked me down on... with the exception of one, which I actually got RIGHT in my head (you could even tell by the choices I crossed out), but fucked up putting down the answer choice.

Oops?

At least there were some pleasant surprises though, since I also got some questions right that I was not expecting. So there is that. There is ALWAYS that! 8D

And lunch. Lunch is good. Lunch is delicious.

Gah, it's been a while, but I can finally update again. Sorry about that, I had like 3 papers to knock out before the end of the semester, it was quite unpleasant ^^;; But now I am free for winter break!

ANYWAY, a very belated "heeey" to all the awesome people I picked up from the Kingdom Hearts friending meme a little while back! Hope we all get to know each other and whatnot, and maybe we can all squee over Re: Coded next month :3

In other news, I also finished NaNo last month, so I've got a lot of fics lined up to post, eventually, on amm_fanworks. When I can stand to sit in front of a word processor again and stare at words and maybe edit a bit >< I'll probably do that some time today or tomorrow.

That is, if I don't get too distracted by Last Window ^^; My latest game for the DS. Hotel Dusk sequel love ♥

And um... it finally snowed today! Not too much, but there was some accumulation, which makes me happy :D I hope we get more, or I hope it stays so we can have a White Christmas. I have a lot of friends in wintery areas so when they talk about snow, it makes me wish I had some, too ;_;

My dog, Rozz, passed away this weekend.

He was already sick, and has been for a long time (diabetes), but on Thursday his condition became notably worse. He couldn't walk or get up on his own, and he wouldn't eat and would barely drink. So um, I guess I kind of could tell it was coming...but overall it was just a really horrible experience and I really miss him dearly.

I would've given anything--anything to have been able to take him to the vet, but we just didn't have the money. And I have a feeling they would've had us put him down, anyway, so I really don't think there was much more I could've done for him. :( I still feel so guilty though. I wish things hard turned out different.

So now I just have one dog, Sparky, who's probably really lonely without his friend. I've been trying to hang out with him more, and he seems all right. But I still worry.

It was also Anime USA this weekend, but sadly, I don't really have a lot of cosplay pics to post, since my camera was full and I was too distracted by what happened to care. I might do a post anyway, if I feel so inclined, but sadly I have a host of other things to worry about first (all school-related).

Yeah, 'cause that's definitely what I want to be thinking about right now >_>

'sup!

It's been a while. Again. Haha. Sorry about that- I guess I just don't feel like I have much to write about?

I turned 22 yesterday, though, so that's something. ^^
Had a birthday party and everything, and I had a lot of fun, even though a couple people were laaaame and decided not to show up.

We watched and made fun of an old Power Rangers movie with Johnny Yong Bosch in it, and ended up having two cakes, because I didn't think my dad would have time to get one and bring it home with him, since he works all day. So I told suedeauxnim this and she and her brother made one for me (thank you!). Only then my dad actually was able to get cake. XD Oops?

We also played Cranium and were gonna play a Yu-Gi-Oh! board game I had laying around my room, but it... didn't come with any rules or explanation or ANYthing. o_O Yeah, it was pretty WTF.

Oh, and we stayed up watching Ghost Hunt until wee hours in the morning! :D Watching the creepiest arc in the series at 4-5am = BEST, clearly. XD

As for my presents, suedeauxnim and her bro gave me Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. Woo! Reading material! arcsyaoran gave me Wild Arms 2, as well, so I also have another game! Because I totally needed more to play, amirite? He said it's an RPG/puzzley type game though, so it seems right up my alley. Annnnd prongsxwormtail gave me money! Yaaaay money~ ♥ And cookies! mmmm.

So yes, all in all, it went very well, despite my lack of confidence in being able to host a party.

Ah, and last weekend, I also went to my friend's wedding. I was waiting to have some pictures from the professional photographer to post, so I may make another entry on that later, because... this is getting kind of tl;dr, wtf? XD

I should go handle aa_secret now. Ugh, I dunno what I'm gonna do with that place. There've been like no secrets lately D:

By the way, WHO ELSE IS EXCITED AS ME FOR THE PROFESSOR LAYTON VS. PHOENIX WRIGHT CROSSOVER GAME because holy shit I found out about it days ago and still get fucking giddy when I think about it. ♥ ♥

I've been meaning to post for a while, but, yeah, been lazy XD

Let me tell you, however about how much I love my friends.

Well, first of all, it's prongsxwormtail's birthday today, so you should all shower her in LJ-luffs and candy and chocolate. *wisenods* I got to hang out with her and her bestie suedeauxnim today, so that was really fun times.

Secondly, it's also my old childhood friend Meagan's birthday today.

So this morning before class, I sent her a Happy Birthday text.

And she replies with something like, "Thank you! Yours is coming up soon too - you'll be 21!"

...as you may or may not know, I've been 21 for almost a year. So I silently laugh, and not wanting to seem like a bitch to correct her, I just went off to class and went about my day.

About 7 hours later I got another text from her to the effect of, "ugh what was I thinking - YOU ARE 21! I'm so lame" - long after I'd forgotten about the fact. XDDDD

I think it just about made my day, and for some reason I found it endlessly amusing. So I figured I'd share XD

Nothing too much else to report - I've beaten Birth by Sleep now, which marks my first PSP game I've ever beaten! I've switched back to P3P for now while I try to decide whether I want to go back through the hellish extra content to unlock the secret ending (for BbS).

Also, Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs is out.
Fuck yeah \o/

Howdy guys! Wow it's been a little while~

Nothing too interesting to report other than some video game nerdage - I beat Professor Layton and the Unwound Future (asdfghj;hgfkd it was amazing) and am like half-way ish through Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep :D But I won't ramble too much about those because I don't want to bore anyone. (Feel free to bring it up for discussion if you want though?)

No, the real reason I'm posting is because I wanted to give a warning to all the icon makers on my f-list, as well as my lovely friends who post fanart and other picture-related media.

If you previously relied on Tinypic to host your stuff, you should know that the website is no longer servicing international countries, and many outside the U.S. will not be able to see what you upload.

More details here; apparently the sites/links still work for the UK and Canada, but...yeah, pretty much a no-go anywhere else.

I can't be the only one who thinks that that's ridiculously stupid, right? :\ And I'm from the US. I mean why would I want to upload my stuff to a website where I know no one outside the country (which includes some of my fandom friends) will see it?

Haha, haven't updated in a while - oops ^^; I sorta got into using Plurk and LJ sorta slipped my mind. Well, at least updating it. I mean I still check my f-list every once and a while? Haha. Oh, and if anyone happens to have a Plurk, let me know! :)

Anyways, school started on the 31st of Aug. I'm on a super light schedule this semester, so all things considered, things are going okay so far. My Tuesday/Thursday class - Philosophy dealing with Animals and the Environment - is actually really small, and waiting for it to start the first day, I was actually afraid of how awkward it was going to get. But the teacher is entertaining, and we have some talkative members of the class, so it was all good.

My second was pretty normal. Landscape Ecology. Got the syllabus, met people; saw some familiar faces. Yadda yadda. Not too much to say there yet, but we'll see how it goes. I've had this prof. before, so I kind of know his deal :)

On a less positive note, the PSP kaitodoushi so lovingly sent me decided it didn't like UMDs anymore ;__; I was able to play about an hour or so of Persona 3 Portable (female route) and then I took a break and...yeah, couldn't get into the game anymore. "Disc could not be read."

So I guess that and Birth by Sleep are on hold for a bit until further notice. My dad and I went and talked to GameStop people and it seems we're probably going to have to get another one, since it's some hardware issue that would cost a lot to fix, going through Sony. Dad says we might be able to do this next week, depending on how things go financially.

Fingers crossed? Heheh. On the bright side, I can still get Professor Layton and the Unwound Future! *squeals*

In any case, that's pretty much my past week in a nutshell. Hope everyone's September is starting off well - anyone else heading back to school?

So the other day, I found out about this great writing challenge called schmoop_bingo : in which you get 25 themes/prompts to write on for any fandom you want, in bingo board form. There's also apparently a point system and prizes involved, the more writing and completing "bingos" you do.

But I don't care, since I just want to write again. It's based on fluffy/romance writing, so I thought it was perfect for me! I signed up and this was the card I got:

Not that life has given me too much to write about, but eh. It's been almost a month, so...yeah. *shrugs*

Still marathoning Persona 3, in hopes of finishing it before Otakon. Which is coming up really soon. It is seriously the longest, most epic game I've played O__o Loving it a lot, and things are getting really interesting and good. I can't wait to see how it all ends <3 ...or maybe I can... ;-;

But anyway, hopefully Otakon will be as awesome as always. :) I was gonna try to throw together a Flora cosplay, from Professor Layton, to go with suedeauxnim and her brother's cosplays (Luke and Layton respectively) -- not entirely sure if I'll be able to pull it off though in the short time i have left, though @_@ But I'll... try? I should seriously make a list of cosplays I want to do. Would probably make things easier.

Um, I was also planning to write fanfiction this month for 31_days, but I'm failing pretty miserably in that department. Their themes are really interesting this month too ;-; But I just haven't been in the mood. (Surprise, surprise.) There were a few others who were going to do it with me, I wonder if they're doing any better >_>

Oh yeah, and also switching laptops soon. Dad somehow got another one (I guess for cheap); it's Windows 7, it's lighter, and it has BATTERY LIFE! I think it's speakers are shittier than this one though. Or maybe I'm just used to these. But anyway I'm trying to transfer all of my crap onto it first, and then I can start using it.

I hear 7 is better than Vista, so... we'll see ^^;

So today, I got this lovely little gadget right here. ♥

A tablet of my very own! Finally! It's called the "Bamboo Fun: Pen & Touch," although you know, I can't help but think I should give her a proper name. :D She cost a pretty enough penny that I think she deserves one. I'll think of one eventually. ~~And am also open to suggestions.~~

Originally, I got just the "Bamboo Touch," which was all well and good and all (and was cheap), but it turns out I couldn't even use a stylus with it! So no drawing, which is, y'know, why I want one. Luckily Best Buy let me exchange it for this more expensive model, which I am now totally happy with.

And lo, my first doodle with it on GIMP. :D ~~Uh, yeah, it's me. ^^;~~

Whew! It'll certainly take some getting used to. But I'm already loving it, and I can't wait to try digital coloring with it.

Sadly, tomorrow, I'm stuck going to work with my dad so I can do some paperwork for him. *sigh* So not only am I going to be torn from my new lovely toy for a whole day, I'll also be torn from my PS2 and Persona 3! UGH. XD

But ah well, hopefully I get to draw more with it soon.

It's reddd~ :D

I'd been itching to change my LJ layout for a while now, so yesterday I finally sat down and did it. Today it's finally done! Hope you guys like :)

I went with a Durarara!! theme, as it's become one of my favorite anime at the moment (and also was one of the few fandoms that I could find a red-themed picture for, for a banner that would go with the layout I chose). :D You can find a link to the original pic in my sidebar, if you want it.

I thought the banner turned out rather nicely. Thanks to petite_ran for giving me a link to the layout LJ I used to find the proper CSS for this!

In other news, I'm possibly getting a tablet. POSSIBLY. *crosses fingers* Dad's going to take me shopping on Sunday, and hooopefully I can convince him to buy one for me ;-; lol. Guess we'll see. I've wanted one for a long time.

Also, video games and books have taken over my life. XD What is this. Ugh. And I can't stop listening to Pokemon music. WTF? I blame all the hubbub about the Black and White versions coming out. (The legendaries look so rad!) I think I might pop in a DVD after this. Since you know, I'm a dork and own most of first season and all of the Orange Islands.

*sigh* Times like this I wish I was in fifth grade and a kid again...

School ended for me last week! Well, for the summer, anyway.

I meant to post about it, but it just kept slipping my mind I guess. ^^; I turned in my 5,000-word monster paper, which I dare say ended up being more than 5,000 words - 20 pages long, with all the graphs and stuff I put in. Turned in another paper I had to write, which was much less monstrous, and also took that logic exam. Don't know how I did, but hopefully well.

So now I've got time for fun things. :) I've been reading up a storm - I finished Havemercy, an Agatha Christie novel called At Bertram's Hotel (enjoyed both of them greatly!) and started on Havemercy's sequel, Shadow Magic. The third book is coming out in early June, and I've got to be ready!

I also got a Steam account, so I could get Portal for free on my PC. I started that as well to see how the controls were and how it ran on my computer, and it seems to be fine. I'll have to beat it for myself, instead of just watching my friend Julia play it. :)

My account is ammchan by the way, if any of you guys have an account want want to add me. Since apparently Steam won't let me add anybody right now :( I think I have to buy a game from them. Free ones don't count. Boooo~

Oh well. I also played more Persona 3 today and got past a little snag I hit last time I played. (Thanks, Akihiko! ♥) Fused myself Jack Frost, as well. Amazing game is amazing and fun!

And that's pretty much been my summer so far XD Eat, sleep, chat, play, read. Occasionally watch things, like anime and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, Generator Rex..... yeah, yeah I know I'm a dork, sue me ^^;;

Gonna take some time and revamp my LJ layout hopefully in the next few days, maybe. And maybe round up some of my more recent art for an art post? Eh, who knows.

Uh, it's been a little while. Oops?

Hope everyone had a good Mother's Day yesterday. My family's not too big into that kind of thing; I don't even think my mom knew it was Mother's Day yesterday, since Thailand actually has a different one. But still, it's always nice for moms to get the recognition they deserve.

School's alllmost done. I've got one more paper to write for Thursday, and I've got to finish editing that monster-paper that I turned in the rough draft for, for Friday by midnight. Gotta submit it on Turnitin. *gag* Then I've got an exam on Monday on Logic (Edgeworth, help me out again, please?) - which I think is the last thing I have to worry about, and hopefully I haven't forgotten anything ^^;

Let's see. I've also finally finally finally started playing Persona 3 again a couple weekends ago. I guess candy__chan and kaitodoushi's playing of Persona 4 finally helped prod me along. And holy cow is P3 addicting. There's just so many things to do and so many decisions you have to make - have I mentioned that I'm one of the most indecisive people on the freakin' planet?

Oh well, it's super fun though ~~despite Tartarus/the tower of plot point being kind of a bitch at times~~. It's rapidly becoming my latest obsession/fandom, and I'm only 12 or so hours into the game. As such, I've made a few icons to use from the series, out of some pictures that arcsyaoran found for me ^^;

I've also been getting bored with my LJ layout. I kind of want to change it into something fandom-y but I don't really know how to make layouts myself. And I'm not sure where to go looking for them. I know there are layout comms out there, but... anyone got any suggestions? ♥

Guess I'll fish around myself, too, when I get a chance. Buttt I'd love you forever =D

Ah, Thursday.

The day I have my once-a-week Anthropogenic Biomes class - for which I spent my entire last weekend, cranking out a 5,000 rough draft paper on biodiversity hotspots. I was really dreading the class, actually, as my rough draft was incomplete, my references were a mess, and to top it off, it was so late when I emailed it to him that I had forgotten to even alphabetize them in my works cited. Of course, I didn't even realize until way after the fact. @_@

Anyway, our professor sent our rough drafts to other people who did rough drafts, and we were supposed to peer review them. Today we were supposed to meet with the people who read ours to get feedback, and I was super nervous about it. Especially since he was going around giving his own personal feedback on our drafts, too.

I was especially feeling the heat when I had spoken with one of my peer reviewers who admitted he had been a bit harsh with mine. I generally don't take criticism well, so I was kind of bracing for impact, but turns out he was actually pretty good at doing the whole "constructive criticism" thing, so it ended up being okay.

Also, as it turns out, my professor's review of my work was even nicer than his. XD The problems he had with my paper all seemed to be easily fixed, and he even helped me create a new data set to use in the final product. :D Annnnnnnd he extended the deadline of the very-definitely-final draft by a week!

...w-well, this was to give us more time to focus on the posters we're making to present about our project, which is still due next week. BUT STILL.

Awesome cool prof is still awesome and cool.

So yes, today ended up being pretty awesome. And now it's the weekend. :D I think since I basically didn't have a weekend last time, I'll actually take some time and enjoy this one ♥ ♥

Amazing college professors pt. 2

So today, at around 10, 10:30am, I walked into the library taking a deep breath, kind of dreading the 5,000 word paper that I was about to marathon into oblivion. I'd started it at least, but I'd fallen behind; my Philosophy class was canceled and I intended to put the time to good use.

Surprisingly, I actually did. I was making excellent progress, typing away at one of the school computers, which I decided to use in lieu of my own, since mine has all sorts of pictures and favorite links and IMs to distract me, and I really wanted to get this done, as the due date was tomorrow. And then suddenly... the computer was telling me it needed to restart itself for some computer-geeky reason I didn't understand.

...'Okay,' I think to myself. 'That's weird, but whatever.' There's a timer, so I quickly save all my progress about 5 times over using control+S before the computer shuts down.

...and promptly, never letting me log back on, effective locking away every single ounce of progress I'd made until that point. Along with every single computer on campus behaving the same way. Heck, some of them didn't even turn back on.

I waste about 20, 30 minutes trying to find a computer that bloody works before they finally make an announcement that, HAY, there's a problem with the computers on campus. Something to do with McAfee; I didn't fully understand it myself.

And I didn't really care. I was freaking out at this point, and I couldn't even focus enough to continue working on a different section of the paper. I managed to write a couple more paragraphs, but I was pretty sure I'd been effectively screwed, you know, since I was on a time crunch to begin with without this computer mess setting me back further.

My day doesn't even start to turn around until later that night, when, in an attempt to calm me down, a classmate of mine told me there was a very strong possibility the professor would give us an extension, as he'd spoken to him earlier about it.

He did. He gave us this whole weekend in its entirety, setting the new deadline for Monday morning, 9 AM. Which was pretty much just what I needed to bounce back!

Now, I feel obligated to mention that this is the very same professor who saved my ass back when I was a freshman, and had woken up a half an hour late to my first unit test. He's freakin' awesome, and I doubt I'm the only one grateful for the extra few days. And now I am in a better mood than I have been all day :D

TL;DR: Awesome professor gave an extension on evil paper of doom after I lost a whole bunch of progress due to shite that wasn't my fault and now I is happyface~

→ Annoying reading/summary shit also due Thursday for a different class
→ Timeline part of a different project due tomorrow, which I have to present on...I think. (Luckily, at least this is mostly done.)

Could be a lot worse, but god, I'm going to be glad when this week is fucking over...

On the brighter side of things, I've been playing Again: Eye of Providence with candy__chan over Skype and it's been pretty damn fantastic. We're both really enjoying it; reading the character's lines aloud is fun, it's sufficiently creepy, and the mystery's got us on the edge of our seats. I only wish I could do male voices OTL ;-;

Ah well. In any case, that's a quick update on what I'll be up to this week. Gaming included~ Because no amount of schoolwork can keep me from enjoying video games...! (Priorities; I has dem. :D)

Lol. In all seriousness, though, I guess I ought to make myself ~~stare at a word document~~ do work now.
