My Website Needed CPR
Yes, it was that bad.
You know, as authors there are so many details to update and keep track of. We need to post on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, return messages from our readers (we LOVE this), read books (yes, this is actually important), and actually WRITE books.
On occasion (or maybe more than that…), details slip through the cracks. On January 28th, 2025 my debut portal fantasy (Darkfell) was released into the world. Note the date. That was over SIX months ago. This evening, I just realized that my website was still plastered in “Coming Soon” banners like an department store going out of business. *Face Palm*
Needless to say, editing for book two of the Darkfell Saga was put on hold (yes, I did just say book TWO, Shhhh. Keep it secret!), and I hustled myself over to Elemantor with a bucket of paint, a dose of courage, and a hacksaw.
The good news: I’ve added a fancy, scrolling banner of endorsements and reader reviews (go check it out, you may be featured!) and removed all the “Coming Soon” announcements.
The bad news: It took me four precious hours. Why? Because my website-building skills are still sliding around on training wheals. So, feel free to appreciate my labor of love and visit: My Author Website
Here is a sneak peak of one of my all-time-favorite reviews for Darkfell. It encourages me every time I read it.
Now it’s time for SHAMELESS BEGGING: If you’ve read Darkfell and enjoyed it, PLEASE leave a review on Amazon.com and GoodReads. I’m a newbie, folks. Every review helps. And tell your friends. If you loved it, gift it to your friends. If you hated it, gift it to your enemies. I’m not picky!
MORE NEWS: I’ve trekked into new territory this week. I’m now on TikTok (and lonely!). Come follow me, shoot me a message, tap that little wave-button thing, explain to me how it works…I don’t know. Come enjoy the awkwardness as I fumble around and learn another new skill. Amanda's TikTok
That’s all for today. Back to the writing cave to work on edits for-you-know-what.
May the grace and peace of God be with you all.
Amanda
