Accidents

So, yesterday I broke a nearly 8 year streak of not having an accident or ticket while working. Happily, it wasn't my fault. Even more happily, not even the car was badly damaged. A little cosmetic damage is all. Some moron pulled out and ran into me. I don't think they even stopped at the sign, but they said they did just didn't see me. Either way, no fault on my part, I was driving straight down the road and they ran into me, so the insurance shouldn't bitch too much. Unless my boss decides to make a claim, which I doubt since the damage isn't enough to bother fixing, IMO, his premium prolly won't even go up.

Moslty, I'm just annoyed I can't say, "I've never been in a work accident" anymore.

In other news, I hurt myself mowing my yard on Tuesday. I don't know when or how exactly, though I think it was when I was hauling the mower up into the front yard. I think it's the hip flexor muscle I hurt, but only cause I googled what the muscle in your hip is called. lol

It's ok when I'm sitting, just a little sore. It's when I'm up walking around that it really starts bothering me. Also, if I make the mistake of touching it in any way. Feels like a massive muscle cramp when it is acting up and the surrounding muscles spasm sometimes. I've been doing the same thing I do when my lower back acts up. Gentle stretching and icy hot. And lots of ibuprofen. lol Eventually it'll clear up just like the lower back does, I just gotta bear with it till it does so.

Though, I do have decent enough insurance now, if it doesn't clear up in a few weeks I'll go to the doctor.

I took the day off work yesterday to watch the livestream reveal of the new World of Warcraft expansion. Well, I also took the day off cause I was supposed to have had the 4th off but someone called in sick so I offered to move my day off to help cover cause we were short staffed for having two people out at the same time. I moved it to the 19th, cause of the reveal.

I'm super excited about the new expansion. It looks amazing.

I also mowed my yard. Well, half of it. I have to dig up a bunch of stupid bamboo to mow the back yard, I'll do that this weekend. But the front yard looks decent now, I no longer feel the eyes of the neighbors peering at me in disapproval so much. I hate doing yard work, honestly. I don't get how people enjoy it. I never have. Both my sisters do. They have all these plants and elaborate gardens and things. It's not that I don't like flowers and pretty bushes. It's that I don't like having to take care of them. Yes, I am lazy.

Obviously, I suck.

I was going to start regularly writing in my LiveJournal again. I did not.

I was going to do the 101 Things in 1001 Days thing again. I did not.

I could say, "Oh, the last couple of years have just been so crazy!" And they certainly have been. But the truth is, I am just bad at doing things. I'm plenty good at thinking about doing things. Planning to do things. But I fail epically at actually doing them. I'm honestly not sure how to go about fixing that.

Anyway, here's to trying again.

I am going to start regularly writing in my LiveJournal again.

I am going to do the 101 Things in 1001 Days thing again.

Maybe this time I actually will.
