Enhancing Codebase for Cloud Integration Platform

About the Client

A Norwegian-based company that has been providing backup services to the Norwegian market since 2012. They are developing a cloud-based integration platform on Azure, and were referred to our company by another company we have collaboarted with.

Objective

To upgrade the existing code base, develop new features and prepare the product for a successful go-live launch while ensuring its scalability for future development phases.

Solution

The main purpose of the client's platform is to simplify the creation of automated integrations between cloud-based systems as well as on-prem systems, allowing users to easily and intuitively set up workflows, either scheduled or manually triggered. After a comprehensive analysis of the existing code base for a complex system with numerous abstractions, areas that required refactoring were identified. Our specialist rewrote and optimized code segments for long-term sustainability, making the system more manageable. Altabel's developer assisted the client in continuing development towards the launch, adding features and maintaining the system as the project moved forward.

Result

The project underwent a complete transformation, resulting in a well-structured and optimized code base. The enhancements made by Altabel's specialist have significantly improved the scalability of the system, making it more adaptable to future requirements. Additionally, the user interface was significantly upgraded, enhancing the overall user experience.
