This journal will always be my baby but after 3 years i feel the need to move on. So i thought i'd actually TRY and see if i could make icons from the Countdown and lo and behold! How i did this? Simple. Shrink the icon as small as possible so the quality gets a little better and then just use black. A lot. I really enjoyed doing this lot too. Esp. #13 lol. Hehehehe...

Blame this completely on the cracktasticness that is the 2007-2008 JE Countdown. All the groups mixing it up and just about creating every kind of slash pairing there could possibly be. And me being me, i decided to focus on the sempai groups. I REEEEAAAALLLLYYYY wanted to make icons from the Countdown itself but honestly, my caps are SHITE and i can't work with them. Having said that, i did manage to eke out one icon of which you can see below. You know, this might be my smallest icon batch yet! Coming up next? It's still V6 and SMAP! And maybe a little femininity added in there...

Oh, and as a little added note. Should anyone have a burning desire to see i dunno... Nagase matched up... Nagano then i can always do custom pairing icons. I WAS going to try and do a full icon set but then realised that ~~i don't actually like the look of the icons~~ with 13 guys that'd be SEVENTY EIGHT pairs and god, that's a LOT of sex. ::dreams happily::

Part one of my big celebratory 50th post!!

This was supposed to be a very long female celeb and JE sempai filled icon post but i got tired around icon number 60+ and decided to break down my celebratory post into two. Or possibly three. I have a lot of pictures i wanna icon. Also, requests from WAAAAAY back. If people can remember requesting something then here you are! Hope you all like what i've made for you. So this is the big one people! I'm not exactly the world's best blender and so i didn't even try. Was trying to go for a evil but sexy look and i dunno if i succeeded. Also, the music chosen is um... female based but i tried to pick songs where you would class as 'other-wordly' and weird but sexy and freaky. I hope i've achieved that too. I think there's only two things that can be said with this post: 1. iconning woman, which is something i barely did, has become really quite fun 'cos i was getting sick and tired of the JE (I KNOW OMG HOW SACRILICIOUS!) and 2. While i love Kimura as my no. 1 JE-er, i think Ando Masanobu has my heart for he is the Japanese Johnny Depp. (Note the not getting older similarity!) I could icon this guy for ages. Why i haven't done so since now (apart from the odd one or two) is a mystery. Bad me. I've also been playing around more with each icon so they're a lot more individual than before and i've used textures and just gone a bit crazy really. Tell me what you think.

Finally? Don't worry people, for the j-ent menfolk are coming to take their rightful place here. Because let's face it, in terms of guys in the j-ent we only really ever see JE everywhere with maybe a smidge of someone else (Oguri Shun usually.) Ok, so there's absolutely NO JE in this post. That's right. I know. It's all females. I only got into doing this 'cos of the second round of the asian_lims challenge to icon BOA, which i did. 8 times. Seems like the one i picked to enter (#2) wasn't as good as i thought. I got 4 faves and 2 vote-offs. Apparently the icon was either 1. plain and needed more effects or 2. the stars/butterfly didn't tie in with the rest of the icon. Ok, so 1. SOME people happen to like plain icons and mine wasn't trying to have 20 things in there at once. 2. The stars/butterfly were supposed to tie in with the gold and white tones of the icon. Hmm. Oh well. I'll stop being all arsey now. Iconning girls is fun. And bloody hard with so many good people out there already. I've depleted my iconning talents a lot i think here. Meh.

Looks like the urge to icon this season's dramas has gone down the pan. I'm still capping them with the hope of making more icons eventually but there are so many people making them i thought i'd stop for now. And so i decided to icon KJ8 instead. Especially 'cos the tour panfu is wickedly great and colourful. I could have done with some of the scans being bigger but a great big thanks to you_view for scanning it all! :X FYI, this isn't all of the icon i'm gonna make from the panfu. My right hand has started to hurt and so i decided to break the post up into two. I thought people might like to see this especially seeing as the original is a horrid yellow. It involves Selective Colouring, Curves and Colour Balance for PS7. This is something very similar to what i did to make this icon, the only difference being the one below has a texture by _iconographer in it.

Go from to

1. Get you base and go to Image > Adjustments > Curves > RGB Input 86 Output 146
2. Image > Adjustments > Auto Color
3. Image > Adjustments > Color Balance +10, -5, +5
4. Image > Adjustments > Auto Levels > 50%
5. Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast > -3, +3

Yay for making an actual layout for allqueericons! Well, ok so it's really from premade_ljs but i made the banner and it's green and white and oh so bright! Ha! That rhymes too! So this is probably the first of a couple of Johnnys based icon posts. I was going to do a mass post with all of the different groups i'm planning on doing but then i spent all today doing these so i thought it'd be better to post them one at a time once i've done them. So to start with, here is Arashi. I haven't done a big icon post of these lot in AGES. And i started the journal with them too. Icons include the MJ An-An shoot (i'm a bit slow!) and some random Kimi wa Petto. I've even made a banner even though it is actually quite small. Cute though. Might make some more. And while i might have iconned a lot of MJ, he certainly isn't my fave Arashi member. I'll leave that to you guys to figure out!

Ok. So please make sure i never decide to do something like this ever again. 120 ICONS!! That's like... woah. And i've iconned 11 dramas, some old and some new. And i was planning on doing some more Manhattan Love Story but then i had enough. I also had to go over most of the GTO and HYD2 icons 'cos i did them originally on my shitty laptop and when i transferred them to my PC they looked horrendous. Hopefully i've managed to save them. Although a few still look off.

Regarding the shows iconned, well. HYD2 is a given. I always do a bit of Akihabara 'cos i <3<3 Toma. GTO = Sorimachi <3<3. Haikei = Pretty end credits + Yoko (who, terribly, looks fat and stupid in the show. no!). Himitsu = Kamane Jun <3<3. IWGP = Nagase <3<3. Karei = Kimura <3<3. Neverland = Lots of pretty boys being abused. I think. SmaSma = given. Stand Up! = Everything <3<3. And finally, Sore wa Totsuzen = Lead actress Esumi Makiko <3<3. That's right. I iconned Yamapi 'cos of her. Hell, the only reason i'm watching the show is because of her. She rocks. Yamapi, on the other hand, makes for good icons.

Anyway, the main reason i did this mass icon post (apart from being crazy) was because this icon journal has now been friended by 50 people! And yes, i know that is a lame number of people but it's a milestone for me! Plus, if you wanna be nice you could always add me. This is a repost of the TsukushiXTsukasa soundtrack i made ages back. Yes, i know i could have just linked to the post but seeing as i'd made a bunch of HYD icons i thought i'd just stick this up as well. Plus i like the comments lol. For HYD icons check out posts below.

Episode 1. Ok, so this song starts off the ost and it may come off as a little strong but it's Tsukushi POV and yeah, at this point in time she's pissed off. There aren't any feelings of like or love for Tsukasa right now and this song shows this.

02. Psychobabble - Frou Frou

You couldn't be more wrong, darling
I never gave out these signs
You misunderstand all meaning

Episode 2. This is what Tsukushi's thinking after being abducted by Tsukasa. Here he is thinking she'll be all grateful and she's like, 'WTF?!' This song is fantastic 'cos again, she's not feeling the love here and the song totally has that vibe.

03. Magic - Delerium

When you walked into the room

You could see inside my mind

Episode 2. Tsukasa on seeing Tsukushi all dressed up and pretty. Could also work for Tsukushi seeing Rui. Meh. Pretty song.

Episode 3/4. This goes with the next song. Basically Tsukushi and her thoughts on going out with Tsukasa and while he's pretty much fallen for her, we can see that it's a much more slower reaction from her.

Episode 3/4. Tsukasa. Aw, bless. He's fallen hard and this song is just too pretty to explain it all.

Episode 5. Ouch time. This is Tsukushi after being blanked by Tsukasa on the whole photo issue. It's more of a her being alone song but it shows her feelings on Tsukasa not believing her. I think.

07. Reason - Hoobastank

There's many things I wish I didn't do
But I continue learning

Episode 5. Tsukasa. After being beaten up. 'nough said.

Episode 6. The double date. And the crappiness that ensues. Tsukasa trying to explain how he feels and how he knows that Tsukushi doesn't quite feel the same way too.

Episode 7. Tsukushi's date with Rui which basically was her talking about Tsukasa. This song shows how she thinks she wants to be with Rui but actually she wants our Tsukasa. Hence the chorus. That silly girl just can't get her head round it can she?

Episode 8. Tsukasa. After everything has fallen apart for Tsukushi, who is there for her? He is, of course! And well, this song explains his feelings for her in the whole episode right?

Episode 9. Tsukushi. Yes, it's ABBA. I love this song. And it perfectly captures her thoughts on the TOJ and looking forward to seeing Tsukasa. And it's a great uplifting song for her big triumph too.

Episode 9. You could say this is Tsukushi/Tsukasa's 'song' but i'm sure there are more fitting one's out there. Picked this song 'cos it has a 80's! feel to it and well. The lyrics really. About being far away but being together and all. Perfect.
