Great reminder. I’ve skimmed it but have never had a reason to utilize it until now. Thank you!

I agree 100% with every word. Nothing will ever replace human-to-human interactions. I hope your gardening adventure is everything you hope it will be, and then some!

Thank you, Beth! 🤍🌻

This is such a beautiful share! I love sunflowers too, to me, they also have a spiritual meaning. And, thanks you for the reminder, to be and stay human. 🌻

The sentiment of this is beautiful!! “I asked my community instead of the AI and now I have handed down knowledge, new seeds, and even deeper community than before”

Congrats on land and sunflower gardens! I love this observation about the things that can never be replaced: Connection, community, and stories from actual experience. Thanks for sharing this! Love, Virg

I’m socially awkward so my ink is digital. My computations lit up the moment you said sunflowers as that’s me and my wife’s favorite flower. We were apart of that generation when the Post Malone and Swae Lee Sunflower song came out. This year is 6 years married with a year and a half kid.

But honestly I’m just finally happy I can use ai to spiral before I’m too much for the community I find. That’s how I found you all!

It definitely has its uses! I’m glad you’re here. 🙂🤍

It is a beautiful reminder of what IS important. Us. We make the difference because we have hearts and when we reach out like this? The joy of sharing is not AI. The Joy of this is family. Heartfelt. Thank you Allison!

I love this. I'll try asking Substack next time I have a question like this! Funny because I was just asking Google about gardening planning for my zone earlier today, so this post is very timely!

☺️ Enjoy the outpouring of ideas and excitement you’ll receive!

I work in corporate learning & talent development, and this is the song I’ve been singing for years. Learning is a cognitive process, but it’s often a social one too. Our brains literally evolved to enable us to have more advanced social structures.

What are we losing by opting for convenience over connection in all we do?

Our hearts

I so appreciate this perspective! We are hurting ourselves by taking this out of our lives and not making it a priority.

If you need some more sunflowers seeds I'd love to send some.

Well said. I use AI for a lot of things for my work (marketing and sales consulting), but it can't even come close to the warmth of connection that a conversation with peers provides (even if they don't know how to help me get a particular task done). I'm fortunate to have enough life behind be – sans AI, even the internet as a whole – to know that we are best enhanced by community.

I completely agree. Technology always has a place and benefits, and there are also many human elements that will always remain human.
