Pern fans
Pern fans, sing out to me.
I've just been idly going through my book shelves lining up unread books for my "50 Book Challenge" when I came across a bunch of Anne McCaffrey's Pern books. Now, I'm sure sometime in my life I've probably read one or two of the Pern books, but I honestly can't remember much about them and figure it's time to read them again.
I seem to recall there are two separate series, one more youth books and one more adult. I have six books on the shelf- Dragonsong, Dragonsinger and Dragondrums in one series and Dragonflight, Dragonquest and The White Dragon in the other. I know there's been more put out since I bought those many years back.
So, questions:
Have you read the Pern books? What were your thoughts on them? Which of the two series would be best to read first?
