Immortalized in "Waiting For Frodo"

ohi's cartoon journal today! I'm highly amused to see that I've been immortalized in one of the last "Waiting For Frodo" comic strips. Actually, I was immortalized on December 12, 2003 and there-in lies a tale.
Deb has always said, despite the popularity of "Waiting For Frodo", that the comic strip would have a finite lifespan. Once Sam got into the theatre to see "Return of The King" on December 17, 2003 the strip would end. Now, as Dec. 17 got closer Deb discovered she was quite busy, so she wasn't sure if she could do justice to having the strip done by the debut of ROTK. She made the decision to hold off on drawing the last few days of Sam's wait until she had more time and then make the last few strips retro-active to the week before "King" came out. That, plus a fall that injured her arm, kept her away from those final strips probably longer than she expected. Thus explaining why the new strip with both her and me in it is being put up today, but dated Dec. 12, 2003 :). Anyone discovering "Waiting For Frodo" from here on in will just assume those strips were drawn in the middle of December.
And based on the Dec. 12 date today, I assume Deb intends to draw 3-5 more strips before wrapping up Sam's odyssey. I'm going to be sorry to see Sam get a life again :).
