A Misfit Day
Among the things that have happened today:
1) Went all the way to Indigos looking for certain books for Christmas gifts and left disappointed because they weren't there. I was not impressed.
2) Discovered that neither of the grocery stores nearest to me seem to carry my favorite Royal Gala apples anymore. I was not impressed.
3) Brought a bottle of cherry carbonated water to my desk this afternoon. Upon opening it, it exploded -everywhere-. Floor, clothing, computer, keyboard. I was not impressed.
4) Annoyed by that mini-catastrophe, I went off to the living room to watch TV and cross-stitch. Ten minutes after I settled in a fuse blew. Most of the apartment went quiet and dark. John worked to get it fixed, but I was not impressed.
5) Finished doing the laundry and went to move the washing machine back against the wall to make dinner. For reasons unknown, the entire kitchen floor was flooded with water. I still have no idea why and I was really, -really- not impressed.
All in all, it was a good day to stay in bed. Hearing new snippets of the "Return of The King" soundtrack over on theonering.net was about my only bright point of the day. Tonight I'm going to take a shower, cross-stitch and watch a two hour biography on Cher and keep my fingers crossed that nothing else decides to go wrong before bedtime.
