Watching TTT Features
I took a much needed day of rest today between WorldCon and the first day of school tomorrow. Slept a bunch, prepared things for school, went to dinner with John and rented "The Two Towers" DVD.
We only rented TTT because we're holding out until November to buy the extended version of "The Two Towers" DVD. Couldn't wait that long, though, to see the previews of both of extended TTT and "Return of The King" that are on the theatrical disc. So I sat tonight and watched both of those features twice (quite a rush- November and December are too far away), plus Sean Astin's short film "The Long and The Short of It" and the documentary to go along with it, plus the Gollum song music video. Most of the other features on the DVD I've seen before on TV or on-line.
Now I'm off doing other stuff while John has "The Two Towers" playing in the background while he plays "Star Wars Galaxies" on-line. He just bought the game on the weekend and he's totally enamoured with it. I think I may be a gaming widow for awhile, though that may only be fair since I took off for six days of WorldCon activities last week leaving him and the cat to fend for themselves.
Deb tells me she was in the WorldCon dealer's room today and that our new CD "Sushi and High Tea" sold quite well at WorldCon, which was pleasing to hear. It was great to finally hold the CD in our hands and Beckett's artwork is especially wonderful. My huge thanks to all the folks who worked so hard on our CD and worked so hard to get the boxes of CDs across the border and to the con! We are really, really grateful.
Must try to get to bed early tonight (with three strategically-placed alarm clocks around the bedroom :)). First day with a new class of 27 Gr. 5 students tomorrow. I'm going to get them make a time capsule, write about their black-out experience, sing some songs, and design a poster about their summer activities.
Exercise log- Too lazy to walk today, but I got to 376 miles on the weekend and earned another 25 mile reward shield. Only 72 miles left to Rivendell.
