Korra

John and I watched through the thirteen episodes of "Legend of Korra" this week. Liked it a lot, though the last episode felt rushed through and not really satisfying. It was like they weren't confident of a second season, so they tied up as many of the storylines as they could as quickly as they could without any suggestion of a "to be continued" and better resolutions for the characters and politics.

Though I do gather there will be a second season, so that hope is still there.

Still, the animation is terrific, the music works really well, there are a lot of great characters (though I question some of the romance stuff...) and the continuity with the original Airbender series brought a smile to my face many times.

Bring on season 2.

Has anyone else watched it?

I'm presently watching through the anime series "Kino's Journey", which I've been meaning to do all summer. Very different in tone than "Korra"- much more like "Mushishi" (which I loved).
