More Smoothie Talk

Thanks so much to everyone who sent me smoothie advice! I will keep your ideas on file.

I've been doing some experimenting with smoothies and, wow, why didn't I do this years ago? Smoothies taste so decadent and I have to keep reminding myself they're completely healthy!

All the smoothies I've made so far are fruit smoothies. For the first few I followed smoothie recipes (there's an app for that...), but now I'm starting to make up my own blends. My first smoothie was a blend of strawberries, raspberries and banana with ice. Yummy, but a bit too thick. For breakfast one day I made a banana smoothie with low-fat vanilla yogurt. Really good. When John's Mum visited this week I made smoothies with raspberries, bananas and Sprite. Not as healthy, but light and good. And yesterday I used up my strawberries with a strawberry, banana and pineapple juice smoothie.

Love how easy smoothies are to make and just how good they taste!

Going to hit the Farmer's Market tomorrow to buy a bunch more fruit to try more combinations. Yay.
