Celtic Knot Canada Flag!

Each year as part of their Medieval unit I teach the Gr. 4 students to make Celtic knots using dot paper. I start by having them make a skinny rectangular bookmark and when they can do that they graduate to making a Celtic cross design which we use as part of our Medieval art display in the hallway. If there are students who finish their cross early I give them a blank piece of dot paper and encourage them to come up with a Celtic knot design of their own. This Canada flag Celtic knot design is one of the coolest student designs I've seen in many years.
