ConCertino :)
Well, being that we're officially starting to book planes and hotel rooms now I can say that Deb, Jodi and I are going to be at Concertino, the filkcon in the Boston area on the last weekend in June :). I think we got especially motivated to make it work once we knew that Debbie can't make it to FilKONtario this year- ConCertino will be the only con in 2012 that all of UT will be at!
The Friday of ConCertino should be quite interesting, though, as that's my last day of school for this school year. The kids finish the day before, but I'll be at school on the Friday doing year end admin stuff. So I'll finish at 3:00, grab my suitcase and guitar, and head for the airport! We'll get to the con quite late on Friday, but we're staying through until Monday morning to make up for it.
So excited! The Guest of Honour are the fantastic filk duo Playing Rapunzel, and, oh, Mich and Marilisa, we never get to see or hear you enough! So, yay! And I hear Dave and little Socrates are going to be there!!! (is Steve going to be there?)
And Randy and Kira are the Toastmasters, which is great, too, 'cause I loved hearing them at FKO!
And the Interfilk Guest is the Ontario filk community's own Peggi Warner-Lalonde, so that's awesome, too, and, whoooo, for the invasion of Southern Ontario filkers headed for ConCertino! Plus the Sunday of the con is Canada Day, so the Canadians might get a wee bit politely rowdy!!
