TV and Computer Fun
Yay, it proved a rewarding day to stay near the TV and the computer.
1) Watching the "Toronto Rocks" concert on TV was great fun. Cable channel Much More Music had a live feed at the concert all day and the CBC showed three hours of highlights in the evening. They had a crowd of 490,000 people and the helicopter shots they kept showing on TV were extraordinary, people as far as the eye can see. They say it was the biggest North American rock festival ever. Seems they had no serious problems, perfect weather and the most unruly moment was when someone threw a water bottle at Justin Timberlake. I'll look forward to Donna giving me an insider's report over sushi tomorrow.
2) Whoo! Theonering.net revealed a less-than-sanctioned sneak peak of a new "Return of The King" trailer today. As expected, the trailer was down almost as soon as it went up when New-Line Studio demanded it be pulled, but by then the long-anticipated trailer was already flying around the Internet for all determined fans to see and store (thank you,
jewelsong :)). And the trailer is worth the wait with marvelous scenes to thrill the heart of a LOTR fan. December 17 seems further away than ever.
