Last Day of School
Wow, look at this lovely hand-made card one of my students gave me on the last day of school today. She did the lettering and her grandmother did the gorgeous butterfly embroidery. I'm going to frame it.
The message inside the card made me smile, too.

Awesome :). This girl started to take guitar lessons a few months ago.
And speaking of guitar, here's another fun year-end photo:

It was taken by John at our School Barbeque last week. As part of the student Talent Show the teachers secretly prepared an act. We rewrote "Don't Worry, Be Happy" and then performed with wild shirts and leis and shades. The guy in the stripes and sombrero with the bongos is my principal. He's quite an accomplished musician and he led the song while I played guitar and harmonized with him and everyone else sang along. Silly fun and the kids and parents got a kick out of it.
