Web Projects

I'm going to spend a lot of this week creating or updating a variety of web projects I have on the go. I discovered to my delight in the past two weeks that a) I have a lot more webspace on-line than I originally thought I had and b) that my photos are taking up much less webspace than I originally thought they were. So, let's go crazy.

Among the projects I'd like to get finished this week (or next, if time runs out) are:

1. A gift exchange I'm planning with the walkers at the Tolkien On-Line "Walk To Rivendell" message boards. Have to sort that list and e-mail addresses to participants so they can mail their packages to their "giftee" by September 22.

2. Information and links about Urban Tapestry's music and connections to fantasy and Tolkien fandom to upgrade our presence on "The Gathering of The Fellowship" website. I just have to write this out and find the links. Jodi's going to update the page.

3. Put all the nature walking pages back up on my "Nature Hikes In Southern Ontario" website. I had pulled down all the 2002 walks earlier this year, fearing leaving all those pages up was costing me money. I've learned since it isn't so I really want to put them all back up again. Once my nature walking page is sorted I want to send the link to "Hiker Mike" at Toronto radio station CFRB. I've read two of his hiking books this summer and walked several of his recommended hikes, so I want to show him my hiking journal.

4. Set up a 10th anniversary Urban Tapestry website. I pulled out a bunch of photos to put together into photo collages for the anniversary party UT had at ConCertino and I've decided it would be satisfying and fun to scan some of those photos and put them up on the web linked to the UT website. I've also scanned a bunch of "Debbie cartoons" of UT through the years to add to that site, too.

Exercise log: And I have to get back to my regular walking this week, too. I did manage to walk 4 miles while I was in Massachusetts taking me to 279 miles on my challenge.
