Flickr Photo Cubes
Ooo, I love playing with new Flickr toys. It brings out both the photographer and the craft addict in me. I found these new photo cubes lots of fun. I built a handful of them last night and today. I just used plain white letter paper, but it would be interesting to try them with photo paper, too, to get something more substantial and with better photo quality.
The initial photo cube screen, sponsored by Flickr and HP, allows you to choose five photos from your Flickr photo stream to put in your cube. I found it fun to make themed cubes, so I chose all sunset photos for this cube.
Once you've chosen your five photos then you print out a template for your cube. The instructions to build the cube are right at the bottom of the print out.
And then, presto!, finished photo cube. I think they're very cute! Fun to set up as a memory after an event or trip. I can also see how the cube template alone has great possibilities for the classroom. I may base a lesson around them next week.
