Nova
John and I just got back from the emergency vet. It’s 1:30 in the morning. Our 17-year-old cat Nova started to go downhill quickly on the weekend and she had a very bad spell at about 11:00 tonight. We felt we couldn’t wait until tomorrow to go to our regular vet, so we needed to take her to the emergency vet to be put to sleep tonight around midnight. She went peacefully. She had been ill for several months, so it wasn't too much of a shock.
We’re sad and we'll miss her a lot, but we had her a good long time and probably a few months longer than we expected. Our other kitty Edward watched over her much of today and I’m sure he’ll be lonely for awhile.
