Order of The Phoenix
Just got back from the new Harry Potter movie. I thought it was really well done and it felt very coherent despite having to reduce 800 pages into two hours. You can't help but note the movie is unrelentingly -dark- for a Harry Potter movie, but that's true to the tone of the book, too. I thought Daniel Radcliffe especially rose to the challenge of portraying the intense changes Harry is going through at this point in the story.
And both John and I fell in love with the girl playing Luna Lovegood- she was sweet, quirky and lovely.
Definitely my favorite movie sequel in this summer of so many sequels.
If this movie doesn't whet your appetite for the seventh book, probably nothing will.
And the movie trailers for "The Dark Is Rising" and "The Golden Compass" foreshadow good things in fantasy movies for the rest of the year, too.
