Blakes Seven
Of all the older science fiction TV series that are out there one I have always been curious about is "Blakes Seven". The impression I've gotten of it is that even though the production values weren't that hugely high it had a rabid and loyal fanbase that followed the story and characters closely, wrote fan fiction, made fan videos, etc.. In fact, I may have heard of "Blakes Seven" for the first time in a book of fan study I read called "Textual Poachers".
Well, looks like I'll be able to borrow a copy of the first season next weekend and I am looking forward to checking it out.
Which makes me curious... who out there has seen "Blakes Seven"? Without serious spoilers, what did you think of the series?
As an admitted TV watcher (still watching in real time, no less :)), I find myself a bit at loose ends right now since Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Heroes, Ugly Betty and most things I've been watching regularly this year have wrapped up until late 2007/2008 (!). Heck, I even noticed today that we're already up to episode 9 of 13 in our latest season of "Doctor Who". Sigh. Though that was a really good episode of "Doctor Who" this weekend, the best of the season so far, I think.
It seems all that is on this summer is reality TV, which is really frightening, though John and I are already getting hooked on "So You Think You Can Dance?" just like we did last summer. (never liked "Dancing With The Stars", but "So You Think You Can Dance?" is fun)
What are you watching on TV these days?
