Alberta Clipper

Thanks to an Alberta Clipper we got a short, intense, but very pretty snowfall this morning. You truly know you're experiencing a Canadian snowstorm when the TV newswoman says, "The snowflakes were so huge!", and the weather guy replies, "Yeah, those flakes were as big as toonies!" ($2 Canadian coins). I do gather, though, it caused a fair amount of chaos during the morning rush hour.

From our third story balcony, though, it looked gentle and beautiful, so I got inspired to go out onto the balcony and snap a few photos.
