Ruth
Yay, I was just talking to Ruth Ohi, Deb's sister, downstairs in our school gymnasium. She's here today to do two workshops on books and illustration with our Gr. 1-3 students. Through the kindly intervention of our school librarian I will be able to see Ruth's second workshop at 10:15. The librarian is going to stay with my students for the thirty minutes until my French time starts halfway through the workshop time. Looking forward to it! Ruth says it's OK for me to take photos, so hopefully I'll take some decent ones to put up later today.
Had to laugh, Ruth took one look at me in the gym and said, "You look so professional!". Being that I was in cords, a suede shirt, runners and a winter parka (hey, I have outdoor yard duty today), I was amused. Then she clarified, "Well, you're standing here in a school gymnasium rather than sitting in my sister's living room!". Well, there is that :).
