While Waiting for Book Seven :)
I've occasionally had a hankering to do a piece of Harry Potter cross-stitch and now that we're six months away from the last book now seems as good a time as ever to go for such a project. I scooped this pattern from the web quite some time ago and I think I'm going to stitch it on a shirt. Bought a black three-quarter sleeve shirt on-sale today, but got home and discovered I don't have any stitching waste fabric the right size or the needed embroidery threads, as it seems all the colours in the pattern are fairly newly released colours. We're going to make a run to a local Michaels tomorrow after school and before my late afternoon eye check-up (and my side trip to the post office to pick up my package of Weather Warden books from Indigos :)).
Should be a challenging project, but it's timely and it's colourful and it should be cheery and fun to stitch and wear. It's, of course, bigger in the pattern than it will be when it's stitched :). I'm kind of intrigued, too, that the cross-stitch software program used to make the pattern has created an interesting meshing of tones and shadings that should make the piece even more interesting and abstract when it's done. The aim, of course, is to have it done by July 21 :). I figure it will be especially fun to wear to school and conventions.
