Listens: Anatevka from "Fiddler"

Getting Organized

It was pretty much an organizational evening for me. Jotted down a list yesterday of the assorted things I have to do now that my cold is receding, now that report cards are over, now that Ad Astra and FKO are done.

School stuff: Sat down with two other teachers after school and sorted two huge bins of building materials and instructional cards for Science units we all plan to do before the end of the year. Typed up the letter for the library trip the two Gr. 5 classes are going on to meet author, Eric Walters. Wrote up my attendance register and handed it in. Finished teaching the choir "Anatevka", the last song they need to learn for "Fiddler On The Roof".

Apartment stuff: Got on a roll and emptied several bags and boxes today either into drawers or shelves or bins. We're getting relatively close to being unpacked! The next step will probably be getting some pictures up on the walls. We're leaving the bathroom painting until after Easter.

Urban Tapestry stuff: Finally had time to answer a bunch of interview questions from a researcher named David Wheeler who is writing an article for a hobby magasine about filking. Sent the answers off to Debbie and Jodi to read and add to as well. Still have some "Sushi and High Tea" work to do this week as I need to do a final listen of the master of the album and send feedback to Deb and Jodi and type up some lyrics to send to Deb for liner notes. Since I'll be out with Deb and Jodi tomorrow for sushi and maybe a movie those tasks probably won't get done until Friday.

Walk to Rivendell stuff: Walked four more miles today taking me to 31.5 miles. At that point in LOTR the hobbits saw their first Black Rider. Five more miles to the wood elves. As the leader of the "Tolkien OnLine" Walk to Rivendell group I've been in touch with the leaders of the Weight Watchers and The One Ring.Net Rivendell walking groups to plan some joint on-line activities. Also need to write up an article about our TORC group to post on the main WtR website. The first intergroup challenge is going to be to write a walking song or poem (it was my idea). I suppose I should write one.
