On the Recovery Trail
Whew, been terribly sick with a sinus cold for the last three days and just starting to get up and around and beginning to eat again (diet coke and banana yogurt). This is my second day off of school and I'll likely take tomorrow off, too, just to force myself to rest and to get this bug out of my system completely. I'm not too surprised at getting sick now. I find I'm really vulnerable to colds in early spring and fall when the weather varies so radically. Also, March was so stressful that it's not too surprising my body decided to go down for the count for a few days once all those commitments were done.
I find I'm most restless about being sick this week because I can't get out to do my walking challenge. So, I keep looking longingly out the window and reading about other people on-line who are getting their mileage in, instead. On the plus side, my scale is presently telling me I've lost 15 pounds since mid-January. I suspect, though, that once I'm healthy and eating normally again that weight may go up a few pounds. That's fine, though, 'cause I'll be back to my walking and weights and back on track again.
