Sigh, I killed myself last week to get my report cards done and in to my principal on Friday and then I got a note back today saying that she couldn't open my computer disk on the weekend :(. Friggin' computerized world. So, I need to print out a set for her to check today, instead. Still, as was pointed out to me, she knew I had them in on time and I didn't have to worry about them while I was away at Ad Astra, so it was still worth the trouble of having them done on Friday.

Watched the Oscars last night and came to the conclusion that if I had entered an Oscar poll this year I would have done very, very poorly. Chicago was a given for Best Picture, but the rest of the awards were all over the map. Not too surprised to see Michael Moore as the most controversial character of the evening. I have a lot of respect for Michael Moore and he deserved that Oscar, but I think he hurt his message more than helped it with his antics last night. It'll be interesting to see what this does to his career. Glad Nicole Kidman won. Glad of the two Chicago stars it was Catherine Zeta Jones that won. Glad LOTR won special effects and sound editing (and still hope next year will be Peter Jackson's year). Thought Peter O'Toole and Adrian Brody were really cool.

Tired today from staying up late at Ad Astra. I had a great time at the con, though, hanging out with filker friends and Tolkien friends alike. I hope to have a con report with photos up in the next day or two.
