Recovering
Starting to feel somewhat human again. Throat isn't on fire each time I wake up anymore. Will be going back to school tomorrow to get myself into some state of semi-organization before the weekend. Yay, at least tomorrow is casual Friday- I can wear my jeans. At our school staff can wear jeans on Friday by putting $1 in the "casual jar" for the day. At the end of the year the casual money collected is given to a charity of the staff's choice.
Have been -really restless- during this illness, too weak to do much of anything and far too aware of all the things I wanted to be doing. I watched far too much trashy reality TV (the finales of both Joe Millionaire and The Bachelorette and a replay of that notorious Michael Jackson documentary from a week or two back). John always teases me because I never watch these shows, but then the media hype always draws me to the final episodes, anyway. Hadn't a clue who Charlie and Ryan were until Trista made her choice last night :).
Also finished up a teeny, tiny, palm-sized cross-stitch kit of Standing Stones in England that I found while packing last week. I had bought that kit at The Tower of London when I was in England back in 2000 but I'd never gotten around to stitching it. I started it yesterday and finished it today. I think I may put up a theme display of my fantasy/supernatural/Medieval cross-stitch pieces at the new apartment. I certainly have enough of them.
But tomorrow I get back to the "real world" and I'm looking forward to it. Should have the strength to get back to my walking and weights, which I have really missed. Plan to make this another packing flurry weekend, because at this time next week we should have access to the new apartment! Being sick right now has been a pain, but better now than a week or two from now, plus it's good to know my throat will be fully recovered before UT's concerts/jams at the end of March.
Exercise log: Heh. Heh heh heh. Still 839 minutes to go to complete my Idita-walk challenge, but I'm going to up my times starting tomorrow and I'm still going to make it.
