My Two Towers exhibit report from yesterday was featured on the front page of Tolkien OnLine today. Very cool. You'll find it under my community name "Shaal".
Been on a house sorting frenzy today. John and I are hoping to move sometime early next year so we've been using part of each weekend to weed through everything we own, throw stuff away, box up items for Goodwill and get everything organized for a potential move. It is astonishing how much stuff you can accumulate over a decade or more and even more telling to see what things you couldn't live without ten years ago (books, photos, teacher supplies, trinkets) you are now quite ready to purge. Between cleaning out the garage, the basement and closets we've taken two vanloads of items to Goodwill and piled up a stack of garbage bags and recycling to get rid of over the next few garbage days. This will be an on-going project for several more weeks, but it is kind of rewarding to see space in the garage again.
My poor computer is sick. It's been getting slow and more sluggish by the day. John is going to tear it apart tomorrow and re-build it to be better. He's going to put in a new hard-drive and video card and I hope to install a CD burner in the next few weeks (inspired by needing a place for all the digital photos I've been taking). Hope I won't be cut off from the cyberworld for long!
