gMail
I figure it's time to increase the grade of my cyber learning curve again.
In simple terms, what exactly is gMail? I know it's some kind of mailing service provided by Google. How is it different from, say, any other kind of e-mail? What are the advantages?
I'm just aware that with so many people offering out gMail accounts these days I could have had one of these accounts many times over. The bigger question for me is do I want one or do I need one?

Actually, I am flush with technical pride this week. I finally learned how to make mix CDs on my computer using tracks from my other CDs. I was highly inspired to learn how after reading the mix CD discussion on Rand's journal last week. Yeah, I know, I'm always -way- behind in the technical learning wave, but I tend to learn new stuff as my imagination is finally sparked to learn it or as I feel I need it. I am very happy with my new filk and rock mix CDs. They should make my daily walks much more entertaining (once I recover enough from this first week of school to get walking again).
