Agatha Christie
I finished reading my first Agatha Christie novel, "And Then There Were None", yesterday on the subway on my way to meet Debbie for dinner. Highly readable. I started it the day before, again, on the subway, and pretty much devoured it in all my free moments. Fun to speculate about, engaging and Christie did keep me guessing right up until the last few pages.
Now, in general, I don't tend to read mysteries often, it's just not a literary genre that appeals to me. Every once in awhile, though, I will read a mystery just out of curiosity and sometimes, like yesterday, I'll discover I like mysteries better than I think. Back in university, for example, I idly read "Sign of The Four" and then proceeded to devour every other Sherlock Holmes story I could get my hands on because I was so taken with the characters of Holmes and Watson.
QUESTIONS:
Are you a fan of Agatha Christie? Beyond "And Then There Were None" what book of hers do you recommend I read next?
Are you a fan of mystery stories? Who are your favorite mystery authors? What is your very favorite mystery book?
