Sulking
I hate the world, I hate my body and I want to eat the entire box of Lindor chocolates sitting on my dining room table.
I weighed in at Weight Watchers tonight for the first time since I started their POINTs program. I gained 2.6 pounds from this time last week.
Now...
I stayed fanatically on their POINT system this week, measuring every morsel that went into my mouth, writing down everything that I ate, using that slide ruler thingie to work out the points in the grocery store. I drank countless bottles of water. I absolutely did not cheat on my food in-take and, in fact, had more than half my FlexPOINTs left by the time I weighed in today. I had two different WW experts look at my food diary tonight to give me advice on what I was doing wrong and neither of them found anything seriously wrong, except they told me to give up the Goldfish crackers (too much salt) and increase my veggie in-take.
I didn't exercise faithfully this week, but I did walk to and from work all last week and I went on a five mile hike on Sunday.
And yet I gained 2.6 pounds in my first week at Weight Watchers. It seems unfair when I'm following the rules. So I'm in a heavy sulk and I'm mad at the universe.
But, sigh, I will not eat the box of Lindor chocolates.
Goals for this week:
- cut way back on my salt in-take.
- eat a lot more cut veggies.
- make a pot of that WW vegetable soup.
- go walking or do weights every day next week.
I promise not to rant like this every Tuesday night... I'm off to drown my sorrows in a low-fat peach yogurt mousse (1 point).
