Travel Fantasy
Thank you for all the wonderful comments, photos and links people left in my last LJ entry about the local natural wonder they would share with friends and tourists. How inspiring to get answers from the States and England and Indonesia and Norway and Japan! I'd still love it if you would like to add to that survey: http://www.livejournal.com/users/allisona/100685.html
I now have several new places around the world that I am pining to visit.
So, I'm going to ask another travel question and we'll see who bites.
QUESTION:
If today you were to win a dream trip of one month, all expenses paid, to anywhere in the world, with the only rule being it has to be somewhere that you have never been before, where would you choose to go and why? What would you do while you were there?
I would choose to go to Ireland, a country I've always wanted to visit but haven't gotten to yet. My ethnic roots are in Ireland, so I would try and track down some Drury history, trace where my ancestors had lived. I would go explore castles and find some of the best natural hiking spots and I would drink in an Irish pub, preferably one with some traditional Irish music.
As a close second I would choose to visit New Zealand, because due to the Rings movies and "Whale Rider" I've fallen in love with the beauty of the land, so I would just go and spend the entire month hiking in as many breath-taking places as I had time to explore.
