Because several people were very insistent that this should happen...

Because nostalgia and wish fulfillment fantasy are good for the soul. Despite the name, this is actually for any of the trappings of Valdemar you'd like to throw into your favorite fandom - Companions, bondbirds, gryphons, Firecats, lifebonds, Gifts, teenage angst and a bit of melodrama... If it came from a book in the Valdemar universe, go for it.

POST FIC. Pick a fandom, any fandom. Pick some element of Valdemar and throw it into that fandom - or take your favorite characters, and chuck them into the Valdemar universe, if you'd prefer. Write that fic, and then post your glorious "Heralds of Cardiff" story for the world to see.

If your fic turns out too long for the comment limit, you can link to a post elsewhere (or use multiple comments, whichever works for you). Please put at least the fandom, the character(s), and a rating in the comment subject line - a title would be nice too. You do not need a prompt to post a fic, and original characters are allowed. Because I said so.

PROMPT FIC. Desperately want a West Wing fic about Sam as Toby's Companion but know you can't write it? Post it as a prompt and maybe someone will be inspired! Make sure you specify fandom, but beyond that, you can be as general or specific in your request as you like.

LEAVE FEEDBACK. If you read a fic you liked here, tell the author. It feeds their special snowflake egos. ...seriously, though, it will make them smile, which is the whole point of this meme.
