OH HAY GAIS. ~~I feel bad because this is the first time I have posted since I posted the Naruto Friending Meme, holycrapifailatlivejournal~~

How are you guys? I mean really, bbs? :) I'm excited to get to meet all of you. My AIM is A Cookie Stealer if you wanna hit me up. I'm online now. ♥

This weekend, my mom, sister, granpa, and nephew took a trip to Bowling Green, Kentucky, to see some of our extended family. IT WAS SO WONDERFUL. Aside from seeing my lovely family, we went to Dinosaur World (which contained life-size statues of dinosaurs) and Kentucky Down Under (a place where they have birds native to Australia and YOU CAN WALK AROUND AND PET KANGAROOS!!!). Daaahhh, it was made of so much win.

They were all over me; I loved it!!!

My sister Hayley and I were quite sad that we became lunch for a vicious T. Rex.

I soon escaped, then found my long lost sister. Allosaurus, meet Alleysaurus!! :)

The other Allosaurus thought it would be a great time for a photo op. From L to R: My aunt Betty, Cousin Charles, his son Caden, my sister Hayley, and myself. In the back with the red shirt is my cousn in law Rheanna, Charles' wife and Caden's padre!

But then an orange T. Rex swooped me up with his tail and attempted to carry me away! I was frightened!

I hope you enjoyed the pictures from our Kentucky trip! On the 6 hour drive there, I began to read Size 12 is Not Fat by Meg Cabot. HOLY CRAP I LOVE MEG CABOT BOOKS SO MUCH IDEK. I love you allllll.

I... have not posted in over a year. :O Why? Nursing school. Plain and simple. :) I decided last fall to double major in Nursing and Spanish. The better my Spanish gets, the worse my English gets.

Granny fell last Wednesday and broke her ankle, so I've been taking care of her. Therefore, I need to find ways to occupy my time, and what better way than getting more involved in music and fandom? Me thinks this a wonderful idea. ♥

So.. perhaps this will be my rebirth on LJ. :) However, this journal is probably going to take a turn from my life (which mainly goes on FaceBook), to being more to do with fandom.

I've been slaving away at the good ol' Ivy Hall Nursing Home for about three weeks now. I didn't work this past semester while I was in school, and it's been good to see my residents again. For those of you who don't know, I work as a Certified Nurse Assistant. I just had to share this perfect little moment with you all:

While giving a resident who seldom speaks a bed-bath today, my stomach started to roll. I said to the other CNA in the room, "Shew! Man, my stomach is killin' me! I must have gas!" The little old lady looked up at me with a smile on her face and said, "Honey, just let 'er rip!" I almost fell. in. the. floor. from laughing so hard.

2009 Wrap-up

~~I LIVE!!!~~

In general, the last half of my 2009 was pretty wild. It was a great semester; I made friends with the girls from Korea and really learned about their culture. They are all so kind! If people here in America were as giving, this country would be a better place!!

While this past semester at King was pretty nice, Nursing school kicked my ass. I did great in all my classes except Adult Health. We had to make a C+ and I made a C-, so I have to repeat the course next fall. I think I'm going to get my minor in Spanish like I always wanted to. Now I have a chance. :) Everything happens for a reason, so who knows what will come out of it. I know God has a plan for my life.

I haven't made an icons in over a year.. I may dabble in that today. I work tomorrow from 6 am to 2 pm, then when I get home I'll probably pack up for King. I go back Sunday and I can't freakin' wait.

Kelsey and I got to move into the Honors dorm, Hyde. I'm so freakin' excited.. it is so nice down there! I'll take pictures and should have them posted by Sunday night.

I love you guys, and Happy New YEAR!

Hello all! Just a quick update to state that I'm still alive. :)

- I've really been listening to some Regina Spektor lately. Her songs and her voice is so delightful and refreshing.

- I've been so busy I don't even think that I've posted to say I get to skip my sophomore year at King and will start Nursing School this August. :) I am so very excited!

- I had a scholarship interview this past Thursday to see if the local hospital would pay for my next two years of Nursing school. King's tuition went up (surprise, surprise) to $29,000. I already have so many school loans. ):

- Speaking of school, I have less than a month until I go back to King. I move back on campus on August 17th, and resume classes on August 19th.

- I went to my cousin Julie's wedding tonight and saw the most attractive guy I've ever seen in my life. He was the life guard at the pool, and when it started to get chilly he put on a T-shirt that said, "REAL MEN LOVE JESUS". OMG YES. :) I'm so mad I didn't try to get his number. But I'm sure he had a girlfriend. He was just way too hot.

- I have been reconnecting with old friends I haven't seen in over a year lately. It's been very nice. I've seen Laurel and Michael. Also, Katie and I have become extremely close lately. Ugh. I'm getting close to everyone at home again, and now I'm moving an hour away in less than a month. Oh well. That's what I have FaceBook and texting for. :)

- Entertainment wise, I have seen Transformers 2 (twice!), Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (twice, as well! I'm kind of obsessed with Fenrir Greyback. Isn't that WEIRD?), The Hangover, and Bruno. Didn't really like Bruno.

- Where has my summer gone?

- God is good. :)

The Evolution of my Hair in the Past Year

... a.k.a. an excuse to pic-spam you guys.

So once upon on a time, my hair was long.

See? She was long, she was silky, she was curly, and she was almost past my large breasts. And then.... the unthinkable happened.... AND I CUT MY HAIR! ZOMMMGGG.

So here's the FIRST hair cut. Cute, yeah? I was very pleased with it. But unfortunately, my hair grows ridiculously fast. I got it cut on July 4th of last year, and had to have it cut again the second week of August to get the shape back.

So I went back to Wal-Mart to get it shaped back up.... AND THE WOMAN BUTCHERED MY HAIR! D: I looked like a boy... and this was three days before I moved into King College. Some way to make a major life change, right when my confidence had been shattered.

Here's how it looked after it was killed. ): That's the best picture there is of it. I won't show you any full-on because they're too atrocious. And yes, that's a real human brain. ♥

And yet... slowly but surely, my hair began to grow.

And it kept growing and growing...

and growing.... and growing....

and growing, until I had to wear it up to keep it outta my face.

Then... it had grown quite long, well compared to what it had been.

Ya like the Zebra pants? They're a legend on my hall. :D

It was on this night that I realized just how... unruly, my hair had become.

So the next day, I got a hair cut. :) I got a razor-cut w/ bangs.

So that night, my friends and I were studying for Anatomy and Physiology II in the library. And when Cayley and Julie decided to take a break, I took Cayley's Mac and pic-spamed her!

To take it one step further, I decided to dye my virgin hair and give myself some red highlights. That's my roomie, Kelsey, and I.

And these are the girls on my hall, minus three people.

This is Julie (who I affectionately call 'My Nom, Nommer') and myself before a birthday party.

And this was taken about a week ago. My hair has grown out, and my red highlights look a lot more natural. I think I'm gonna let them fade out and just keep my hair black.

And here's the last picture of the evening... we'll finish it off with a big smile.

So everyone is in a tizzy over this week's chapter of Naruto.

Here's my take on the matter.

Does everyone remember when we first saw Pain? I don't know everyone's general reaction, but my reaction was, in Dane Cook's words, "That is one badass-lookin' muthafucka!" I can remember just be so damn intrigued. From the looks and actions of this guy (HELLO! At first it appeared as though he controlled all of Akatsuki), I thought, "Hell yeah! I bet this is gonna be the biggest, baddest guy in the whole series." But really? Really? What was the whole point of building up to this huge confrontation with Pain/Nagato and Naruto and give us this chump change shit??? KISHI WTF?! I mean really. Really.

Nagato sacrifices himself for the Leaf Nin that were killed in the battle, eh?
1.) Why the fuck didn't he revive Yahiko?
2.) Why would he revive ninja that he didn't even KNOW?! I mean, I could understand it a smidge better if he had interacted and knew some of the characters he had killed. But to just selfishly abandon Konan, and just give life back to those who had died in the battle? Don't get me wrong, I love Kakashi, he's one of my favorite characters, but DEATH IS A PART OF THE LIFE A SHINOBI! Death is a part of everyone's life! He should have revived his Akatsuki compadres!! RAH RAH!
3.) Way to sacrifice your life in vain there, buddy. If you were gonna throw your life away so foolishly you might as well have died with your family or Yahiko.

This is arc has been completely utterly useless. Yeah, it was cool until this chapter. But knowing now what has happened concerning the whole Pain situation makes me wish Kishi would have just skipped a year's worth of chapters and just handed us the Sasuke/Team Hawk storyline. And what about Akatsuki? Unless we've got some amazing Madara shit coming our way, the whole Akatsuki storyline has been fucked over for us fans as well. Gah. FAIL!

I bought a bike on Friday and have been riding several miles a day. I've also been dieting a little. <3 I'm looking to get back down to 175 pounds. I'm 210 right now. >.> I can't fit in any of my clothes and this is the biggest I've been. I was 175 pounds my Junior year of high school, and I would like to be that size again. I'm tall anyways, so 175 would be a great weight for me.
