19 years and counting...

I just got a notification this morning that I've been on live journal for 19 years along with a 19 year virtual gift badge from them. Omg! That's incredible. I had to come on here and post to commemorate the occasion. 19 years... that's as long as it takes for a newborn to grow up, go through schooling, graduate, and start college. I can't thank you all enough for sticking with me through not updating a lot lately and being such good friends over these 19 years. There were some tremendous roller coasters I've shared on here with you all. Good times. Bad times. Sad times. You've all been here, read, commented, and are to be cherished. Thank you!

About 3 weeks ago, I ended up getting a private message from one of my live journal friends who said they were leaving live journal and wanted to say something to me before they did. I hadn't personally talked to them for a year or two due to not being on live journal much but what they said to me brought tears to my eyes and made my day so much. It was one of the kindest and sweetest things someone has said to me in quite a long time. They said and I quote, "I'm leaving LJ. You are an amazing person and you are one of the kindest, most caring people I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. I hope you know that you are wonderful and appreciated. Take care in life Autumn, and may fortune favor you, and may all the happiness of the world be yours. -Zackery" I was so taken aback at the kindness this person extended to me and am so grateful I had the chance to have them in my life for the time they were on LJ. I'm saddened that I never got the chance to ask for their email or any other social media handle so I could keep in contact with them before they deleted their journal. If this person ever reads this, just know I adore you and you're a precious soul. *HUGS*

A little life update to go along with my post. Matt and I are still together and going strong. We've now been living together 10 years and have been engaged for 8 of those years. We were set to be married 7 years ago but I had some illnesses hit me and had to postpone. Once I started to feel better the pandemic hit the world and so we never got to make it happen yet. We will be working on planning everything very soon and becoming husband and wife before you know it. We're so close and do everything together. We have so much fun and enjoy so many of the same things. I can tell he truly loves me for every part of who I am and never judges me. He's my best friend and I love him with all my heart. It's been a long time coming for me after the few duds I went through in relationships that I finally got my happy ending with my best friend. I'll keep you all up to date on things as I can.

I own my own business and it will be in it's 7th year being opened this year in July. I create and sell stickers and graphics for all planners and agendas. It is called Bottled Honey Designs. I love that I get to share my creativity with my customers (whom most have become my friends). I love what I do and the fact that I get to work from home. I've always wanted to be my own boss so I could have no limitations as to how far my creativity could take me. It's a great feeling.

I have an interview tomorrow at 9:45am. Please wish me luck. It's not exactly what I want to do but it's something to tide me over financially until I can find something to support myself more. If I get the job then I will divulge what it is. I'm not going to jump the gun. I'm still studying my butt off for the civil service test and will be telling the other employer if hired that I need October 2nd off because of a prior obligation. I'm nervous about my future and where things are going to take me right now. But I still carry that positivity around with me that everything will be okay. Eventually. Things just take time to fall into place.

Mr. Owl. How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? 1... 2... 3... Threeeeeee! Sorry, for some reason I just felt like saying that.

Chilly, sleep, movies, TV, and a small friends cut...

Damn! Could it be any colder outside? Seriously. It's -9 degrees here and the wind chill is -32. WOW! Last night when I got out of work I couldn't even breath right. My lungs were very sore the whole ride home and it took my truck over half of the drive to even begin to get warm. I can't wait for this cold spell to be over with. Eek. For those of you who are going through this bitter cold I hope you stay safe and warm.

I've been really sleepy lately. No matter how much sleep I get I'm still tired. One day this week I slept for 14 hours straight. I never do that! I guess my body needed to play catch up after being sick.

"My Bloody Valentine in 3-D" came out today and I think I might try to go see it sometime this weekend. I'm not sure as to who I'm going to go see it with though. Maybe someone from work? Dave, Katie... Hmmm... *thinks* I'll figure it out. All I know is that it'll be nice to see Jensen Ackles in a movie again. *nods*

I did a small friends cut last night/this morning. Three people to be exact. I just wasn't feeling the vibes anymore. Nothing against them.

I don't have to work on Monday and I get paid for it, so it's a three day weekend for me. Yay! I accumulated a paid day off due to donating a small amount to a charity every two weeks through my paycheck ($6.20). It's called United Way. It's very similar to a Brothers & Sisters program. Another perk is getting to wear jeans every last friday of the month. Thank God because I get SO tired of wearing dress pants, etc. I sometimes just want to be comfy at work. At any rate, good deal on not having to be at work Monday.

I'm not sure as to why but I've been painting my nails a different color every week for the past month. Most of the time I'm usually a clear glossy polish wearing person but not recently. First it was black, then it was red, then it was pearl, and now it's purple. I'm thinking I'm going for a blue or brown of some sort next week. I believe I'm going through all the colors of the rainbow. Ha.

I bought the book "The Shack" by WM. Paul Young for myself a few weeks ago and my mom just got done reading it. She said it was amazing and changed her views/thoughts on a lot of different things. I'm anxious to read it and to see what all the buzz is about it. I've heard from many that it's a good read. I might start reading it tonight.

We got over a foot of snow here last night and there's more to come by tomorrow. Craziness. The roads were horrible driving home last night and I almost got into a severe accident which involved a semi. I swear I was less than two feet away from getting killed or severely mangled. Geez. It gave me the creeps and of course I had a dream about it which made me wake up in a cold sweat. Blah. I need to think about better things today to get my mind off of it. I'm just glad I made it home ok. No Autumn on lj or anywhere else wouldn't be a good thing.

Two weeks and six days until my 26th birthday and three weeks to the day before my birthday party at Olive Garden. I'm stoked.

I went back to work yesterday and I'm feeling much better. My chest is still really sore from throwing up so many times but I'm better and that's what counts. *nods* I'm going on my fourth day without any solid foods though. I've been living on juices and water. I believe today I'm going to venture out before work and get a smoothie and a pita sandwich from Liquid Planet. Something light, good for me, and not hurtful to my belly.

*just got in from getting the mail* Thank you SO much to ang25 for ordering me Touch Master for my Nintendo DS off of my Amazon Wish List. Awesome! Very great birthday gift! *hugs to you* Such a surprise. :)

My cold getting better took a turn for the worst. I've been in bed sick for two days with some type of the stomach flu. I was throwing up all night last night. Dry heaves etc. This is all no good.

I'm not sure as to why it took us until today to take down all of our Christmas stuff but it did. Maybe because I just wanted to look at all the pretties for a few extra days. At any rate, all is packed away until next year. The house looks bare and boring now. Not to mention it's really dreary outside and rainy today. Blegh. It's not that cold out but it's still nippy enough to have to wear a light weight jacket or a hoodie.

My cold is about 50% better. I've been living on Dayquil and Theraflu Severe Cold & Cough for two days and sleeping like crazy. It's helped a lot. I do still have a stuffy nose and some chest pain but it's no where near as bad as it was. I can't wait until this darned thing has gone away for good.

I'm uber happy that some of the shows I watch are coming back on this week. Hooray for Brothers & Sisters, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, 90210, Privileged, the new season of Biggest Loser, and a few others. I've been missing them all and am very anxious to see what's in store for the rest of the season. I've been using this no TV show time the past few weeks to watch some "pirated movies" from my next door neighbor. So far I've seen Meet Dave, Keith, Henry Poole Is Here, Get Smart, The Promotion, and Baby Mama. I only really liked Keith and Get Smart. The rest were meh. I'm definitely glad I didn't waste my money seeing them in the theaters. I'm sure I'll watch a few more today at some point. Speaking of the theater, I've seen a few people post their lists of new movies they can't wait to see in 2009.

Cold, long term resolution, and my top ten shows of 2008...

I have a cold. I haven't had one of those in over six years. I forgot what it feels like. Ew. I feel all stuffy, blah, and woosey. No good. Rest is my friend right now. I drank some Theraflu (cold & sinus) last night and slept for over ten hours. I still feel gross though. *crosses fingers that it gets much better by tomorrow*

I've added a long term New Year's resolution to my list of other resolutions (which are doing/watching more of the following: working out, TV shows, reading books, and movies). I'd like to be moved out of my parents house and in my own apartment within the next three to five years. I need to get my credit up to par and a few more raises before I can financially make it on my own. It's a goal to majorly look forward to. :)
