Dennis Bisskit and the Missing Masterpiece. (The Dennis Bisskit Series.) Kindle Edition

4.0 out of 5 stars (1)

Dennis Bisskit and Stinky Blackshaw have completed their service in the British Army, but where to next?
Luckily, Dennis has a cunning plan.
As an avid reader of Sam Spade novels, he realises that while America appears to be teeming with Private Investigators, Dudley is expected to manage without one. Well, not anymore.
It's 1969, and man is about to set foot upon the Moon. Meanwhile, back on Earth, a masterpiece has vanished from the Birmingham Art Gallery and Museum, leaving the police baffled.
This looks like a job for Dudley's finest, Bisskit and Blackshaw Private Investigators.
Yes, the boys are back. Older but no wiser in Dennis Bisskit and the Missing Masterpiece.
Crime has never been so hilarious.
Formally, Dennis Bisskit and the Man from Paris with the Very Large Head, now re-edited and re-published

Stephen Ainley was born in Birmingham, UK, in the 1950s. He served in the British Airborne in the 1970s before moving to Australia. He has written many articles and short stories over the years. In 2021, Stephen published his first serious novel, Jessup. From the battlefields of France and Northern Africa to the East End of London, it's 1950, and Jessup has one last chance to turn his life around.

Also, enjoy the Detective Jack White novels. These Stand-Alone novels feature DI Jack White and are brutal crime thrillers with dark humour set in London's East End in the 1960s.

Spike... It’s 1961, and London’s Aldgate is rocked by two brutal murders... Spike is a crime thriller set in the heart of the 1960s East End, still recovering from the ravages of World War Two bombings.

Jack White, a Detective Inspector with a dark sense of humour and a bad haircut, is under pressure to find the killer before he strikes again, but he is always one step behind.

Next, The Broken Detective... It's the East End of London in 1962, and DI Jack White, with the bad haircut and matching attitude, struggles with guilt.

No amount of alcohol can deaden the memories of those he might have saved...

Now, a young girl is missing, and a man's wife has disappeared.

But are these crimes?

No one appears to want the police involved.

Jack White is struggling with his own demons, but that won't stop him from investigating.

And now!! Brand new DI Jack White, The Winter of '63

London’s winter has been the coldest in over 200 years. It is so cold that you can stroll on the River Thames in parts of the East End.

And on one of the worst nights of this terrible winter, only two men are unfortunate enough to be out on the streets…

Jack White and the man he discovers encased in snow, with an axe wedged in his spine.

It’s the Winter of 1963, and Detective Inspector Jack White, with the unruly haircut and matching attitude, is battling ice, snow, and a cold-blooded killer.

A gritty thriller with dark humour.

Hope you enjoy DI Jack White, because there's more to come...

And if you enjoy comedy. The Dennis Bisskit Story. An hilarious coming- of-age tale of a young lad growing up in Dudley (UK) in the 1950s and 60s. Formally, The Dennis Bisskit Adventures, now re-edited and re-published. Also, Dennis Bisskit and the Missing Masterpiece. It's 1969 and following their stint in the British Army, Dennis Bisskit and Stinky Blackshaw are now Dudley's finest (and only) private investigators. Crime as never been so hilarious. Book 3 in the Dennis Bisskit series. Dennis Bisskit. Best in Show. Dennis and Stinky have been hired to guard the 1970 Cruft's dog show favourite. What could possibly go wrong? And available now, Dennis Bisskit and the Dudley Diamond.
