Cold-blooded passion. And revenge that is a dish best served bloody!

Fabien Levesque has been to hell and back ever since Stefan, his maker and ex-lover, sunk his fangs into him. And the nightmare isn’t over because the powerful voodoo high-priestess Raphaella is intent on revenge.
Together, their formidable evil allows Stefan to possess the body of Fabien’s lover, Laurent Richelieu. Forced to flee the city and the man he loves, Fabien leaves New Orleans and finds refuge in San Francisco, where he crosses paths with vampire royalty and a renowned deadly vampire hunter.
When Fabien learns that his powerful allies also have cause to defeat Stefan, united vengeance is the obvious solution. Only somehow, Fabien must convince Raphaella to use her voodoo magic to release Stefan’s spirit from Laurent’s body.
If he fails, mortals everywhere will become innocent victims of Stefan’s unrelenting bloodlust, and soon, his army of vampires will destroy all of humanity…

Len Handeland has always been drawn to the creative. When he was a model in Manhattan during the early 1980s, he decided to study fashion illustration at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology.) Later on, he made the transition to the hair industry. With 27 years of experience in the field, Len had a successful career as a hair stylist, hair colorist, and salon owner. Over the years, Len has owned several hair salons, including one in San Francisco's Union Square for nine years and two in Sonoma (Wine Country) for eight years. In 2021, he retired from the hair industry to become a full-time writer.

His writing primarily focuses on vampires, the paranormal, murder, crime, drama novels, and psychological thrillers. He has been passionate about writing since middle school and has taken several creative writing classes to improve his craft. Len finished his sixth novel, titled "The Haunting of Wellsley Manor" which has already received two five star reviews from professional reviewers, and a glowing review from a New York Times bestselling author. It was recently released in January of 2024. Len recently received the editor's choice award from the International Impact Awards and an author interview in the prestigious "Readers' Magazine" based in London.

The Darkest Passages is a gripping supernatural thriller that seamlessly continues the story from The Darkest Gift. Len Handeland’s writing style is clear, concise, and highly engaging, making the book an absolute page-turner. The pacing is excellent—fast enough to keep you hooked without feeling rushed—and the cast of characters is well-balanced, avoiding unnecessary complexity.
What truly stands out is the depth of character development. Each character feels authentic, and their relationships are thoughtfully explored, creating a strong emotional connection for the reader. Additionally, Handeland’s respect for traditional vampire and supernatural folklore adds richness and consistency to the narrative, enhancing its credibility and allure.
