This is an AWESOME book!!!!!!
I purchased the paperback version the moment it was available. I couldn’t wait to disconnect from the world and dive into the latest at Black Diamond. From page 1 to page 267, I was hooked. I fell in love with Kari and Davis’ story, and I’m appreciative of author DL White for blending in the previous Black Diamond love stories, weaving a visual that I felt a part of from beginning to end. There are perfect doses of each characters backstory, without distracting from the main story. I won’t lie, I wanted to choke out a few characters, but isn’t that what makes for good drama? I love DL White’s books and I love how she’s embraced her calling as an author. I’ve read all of her books and I feel and see her growth over the years. I can’t wait for the next story!!!

    One thing I love about DL is she's gonna write some grown characters that know what they want and don't waste time getting it, as far as folks that are into each other. I loved that Davis and Kari dove into things once they realized their mutual attraction, though they did have understandable concerns because of their roles. Their rapport and chemistry was palpable and fun to read.

    I also loved seeing Wade and Ameenah and Vance and Athena again, in significant capacities. I chuckled several times throughout reading this, and there was heat that wasn't overdone. Good stuff.

    If you have been following this author, you know she puts her FOOT into these books. The Pearl was no exception! Her character development and chemistry always leaves me hanging from chapter to chapter. Such a great read and perfect for those warm summer nights! I highly recommend the entire series!
