Loved Mongat and Anna
I loved Mongat and Anna and the instant attraction they had for each other. it’s a great love story that had several obstacles along the way to their HEA. Adding two children, Louisa and Tagret, to the story makes for great reading. The story is well written and entertaining. I loved the story, the main characters and the two children. I would highly recommend this story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and are voluntarily leaving a review.

    What a lovely, easy read !!
    Anna and her young daughter need a fresh start, and a teaching position has opened up on beautiful , tropical Thaiman. This world is trying to become part of the Federation, and her skills could help them along.
    King Monget wants his world to move forward, and being part of the Federation would be a step in the right direction.
    When the new teacher arrives, unfortunately, the King does not make a favorable impression!!
    As Anna , and Monget learn to adjust to differing opinions and traditions, this story flows quite nicely !!
    Can't wait for the next !!!

    As a huge fan of the play and movie which inspired this book, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it!! Honey takes all the best elements from the play as inspiration, and she replaces some of the less desirable ones with perfection. I LOVE it! Mongat is as arrogant as you would expect from an alien king, but also intelligent enough to consider options. Eventually. With gentle, logical, persuasion. Anna and Louisa are sweet and very entertaining, and Anna has an intelligent and flexible mind. She is my favorite type of FMC. I am glad the King did not have the multitude of wives and children per the play. The romance between Mongat and Anna is desperately time-crunched, steamy, and fun. The friendship between Louisa and Tagret, Mongat’s nephew, is precious and sweet. (A next generation continuation? Please?) Overall, this book feels original and fresh with great world building. It gives that story I loved a new, and much more romantic, life! Thank you, Honey!

    The King & I was my favorite as a child. Yup Brenner was my first crush. This book was a fabulous stroll down memory lane, with obvious changes. There was no sex in the movie & this king never says etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. 😂😂😂

    I adore these movie inspired stories and this one had the added joy of being a found family piece as well. There is something so wonderful about a man falling for a woman and her child at the same time. The first moment between Louisa and Monget was perfection and I found myself wanting to see that soft side more and more. Anna and Monget matched so well that the story just flowed effortlessly. I really hope there are more found family and movie inspired stories coming our way soon.
